Colin Murray & EFL on Quest

Will miss those 0-0 draws with certain teams who prefer to camp in their own penalty area rather than attempt to play a competitive game.

Hinchecliffe covers lots of Premier League games, unfortunately.

Hate the prick. He was once told that the co commentators "pass of the season" was Norwoods at Bramall Lane v Wednesday. Hinchcliffe remarked "But did it end in a goal?" co-commentator quite rightly corrected him and said he was talking about a pass, not a goal.

Colin Murray and the EFL highlights programme.

Since they brought Murray and the production team in last year initially on five and then Quest a professional well researched program.

Shame we can’t promote them with us to take over MOTD.
Agreed. Can't imagine Gary Lineker saying, "Good result for Sheffield United at Stoke today, considering only three of their starting 11 were sober. " Priceless.

Almost certain Colin had a stint hosting MOTD2 many moons ago, not sure what happened for him to be replaced but the beeb's loss has been our gain over the last 2 memorable seasons.

Know he reads the forums, and I assume he will continue to do so

Here’s to you Colin - the best presenter we’ve had on these highlights packages by some distance. Shows a genuine interest in the clubs - especially us (not that I’m being biased) and certainly knows his stuff. Doesn’t get by on the autocue like most, learns, researches and really puts his all into his job. I’d suggest he knows more than most of his ‘expert summarisers’ that join him most of the time, especially Dean Ashton.

I’ll not miss that much about the Championship considering we’re going to the biggest league in the world. But Colin I certainly will. Thanks for your superb work all season. Been a pleasure to watch and listen to.

But Match of the Day here we come...

Didn’t see this before posting my thread, title wasn’t evident enough.

Apologies Foxy Linz feel free to merge the threads

Surprised Murray doesn’t do motd sure he used to do motd2
Can’t stand Gary Lineker
I can't stand Lineker either. OK he was a decent footballer but he is employed as a PRESENTER not a pundit so a knowledge of football is not particularly part of the job. He is (being charitable) a very below average presenter. He does MOTD which is only once a week during the season (and he doesn't do the Sunday program) plus he does SPOTY in December and for that he gets £1.75 million a year. What the hell for? Overpaid over rated twat. Bloody BBC must be mad.

He’s obsessed with trying to be politically correct the big eared weirdo

I like Gary Lineker, problem is people can't separate political views from personality these days.

Can't wait for our first appearance on Monday Night football, Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher analysing our overlapping CBs Blades Analytics style ;)
Yea we're gonna be pushed to the back of the queue behind the top 6, Everton and Wolves and the likes, but we'll have so much coverage across a variety of platforms, plus the great content we get already from the likes of Beans and co.

However, I will miss Colin Murray. He's insightful, knows his stuff, and it helps that he seems to like us too I guess!

Colin Murray giving us yet another mention on Fighting Talk podcast again today, one of the guests asked if Sheffield United will be able to play the same formation in the Premier League, to which Murray replied "they said the same thing when they came up to the from League one: they can't play that formation, Billy Sharp's not a Championship striker, can't score 20 goals plus goals. Did that. Everybody said the same things and i'm not saying its not going to be hard, but."

Him and John Rawling should have plenty to talk about these days.

Who follows anything Lineker says about politics or society anyway?

It's no wonder the invention of Twitter coincided with everyone hating each other!

Just a socialist for show Lineker.

It's a modern day phenomenon. People being all leftie and PC on social media for likes when they don't exactly live their lives in that way.

He's the Blade that he often has on as a guest isn't he?

To add to what i wrote a few mins ago. Wilder came up as the guest in question works for one of the Football Manager games and they ran a simulation where Wilder took over Man City and Pep took over at United. Wilder won the league with Man City, obviously and Pep got sacked from the Blades when he had a run of 6 defeats!

Wilder> Pep
