where else would you put it? The majority of suitable sites to house such a screen would miss out somebody, thats why these things tend to come in two's these days.

The scoreboard will be for the fans who don't sit on the kop. They do exist you know.
I presume they have long term plans for another on the Lane end.
wouldn't it benefit more fans having a tele on the away end? more home fans being able to view it.
Student accommodation needs alot of upkeep.
Wouldnt it generate more money with say a training area, 5aside pitch, another bar, prematch eating and a childrens area to make an impression on the youths.

Because I'd have wanted an extra view of yesterday's match ....... I've never really seen the point of screens in the ground to be honest.

Im impressed ... Notice the addition of executive boxes in kop (evo) corner ... Disappointed 2 see student accomodation but I guess the money has 2 come from somewhere 2 pay 4 that stunning TV screen

why do people think the student accomadation is bad?i personally think it can only be a good thing, plenty of new fans for us. Even the evo corner is looking good like that,sure it will change form thay a little though.Also anyone know we will have the biggest single tier stand in the country when thats finished?

looks good, bit annoyed about screen being on top of kop, should be on away end or even better, if we can afford it, both ends, like tottenham

Given the amount of students in Sheffield I personally think building accommodation to house them that will financially benefit the club is a fantastic idea, and if only a handful of them pay to watch matches then surely that's good?

Really impressed. I think the student accommodation is a good idea. As people have said its a booming market,and a good money earner too. Also, we may attract some new fans whilst we're at it as well.

It does, but this is why the Blades will most likely;
1: Build and own the complex, rent it to a student accommodation body like Unite or someone similar. They will then manage the building whilst paying the Blades rent.
or
2: Sell the land off for a nice little earner to a property developer who will build the complex and they will rent it out.
Good move, people are against these student complexes. However, they do get the students out of the nice big houses that could be taken up by families, etc.
It all looks good, makes a huge difference to the area.

I just want them to take the sidewall off the SOuthstand so I can hear the Kop from my seat.
Plus the student accommodation will be good for the surrounding area. I know there are even more student flats proposed around Bramall Lane (the site across from The Sportsman being one of them - think its a garage). So in a few years time the area will be a lot nicer.

id like to point out were trying to develop the football ground for its facilities to be one of the best and maybe picked for world cup venue. i cant see house tax dodgers on site will do this when something better could be made out of it.
Want to put up student accommodation? buy some land and build it on that and get revenue from that.
Also, another business corner thing. Why? I like McCabe and he's a good businessman and doing the best for the club, but i think by building another office block in the corner is detracting from the football and more into the business.
