8,871 down from 12,744 the previous year..

Not sure if the figures will have changed that much but:

Peterborough :6.2, Barnsley: 7.7, Blackpool: 11.6 make up the bottom three...Wendy's just above at 11.9

The problem is that Turnover is probably about £4M higher in the Championship.

L1 turnover but Championship wagebill and 5 years of failure is not sustainable especially if you sack the management team every year.

This is why McCabe and the Prince chucked another £8M in last season.
 
Just a mention that capital expenditure is not included in the profit and loss account. So there's more to add to the loss costs usually which need funding e.g. the pitch might count as capital expenditure rather than routine expenditure.

Back to your silly three club example, if Sunderland, Newcastle and Villa were better ran and more organised do you think they should be able to bring in better players than lets say Bournemouth in the same league as them due to them partly bringing in more money?

So it would be hard to make a loss in the Prem now even though you point out that bigger the ground bigger the running costs are, make your fucking mind up.

And that sort of money, whilst not the game changing we were led to believe, has kept us Surving on an even keel.

Worringly it's not going to be there again until we reach The Championship, let's hope these "50% of the squad" youth players are as good as they are being cracked up to be.

No, capital expenditure is depreciated over its estimated useful life and depreciation charged to the profit and loss account each year.

It's not a revenue item It affects cashflow but not profit or loss.

Additions to tangible fixed assets- equipment etc were over £2m in the year. Which it's reasonable to believe includes the pitch.

The £5.4 m loss is reduced by a "Profit on disposal of player registrations" of £2.17m ( no breakdown)

Of course it was I don't think you amended my post Sean, not for one minute. I had already realised it's lack of preciseness though and your subsequent post had been covered as it happens.

Anyway the point has been made that the quoted loss is only part of the story. Sometimes the £5m loss can be understood to be the cost to the owners, but it's only part of the picture as you well know.

I don't get this? I thought that wages could only be 60% of our turnover?

As we are not under a transfer imbargo then that means if our wage bill is 9 million then turnover must 15 million doesn't it? If so what the hell is costing us 11.5 million?

Confused.

SCMP includes all players over 21 (roughly).

The accounts has to include everyone: coaching staff, U21s, Academy, administrative, grounds staff, etc etc etc.

It's an expensive business running a football club.

Accounts turnover isn't the same as turnover for SCMP. For that you can add share investment by the owners - not loans - and that's what will have kept us within the 60% limit.

No it's what they put in in 14/15. The Princes initial £10m has virtually all been swallowed up by losses. The £8m share injection is 2015/16.
