What a rip off. £20 more than Huddersfield. Chuffing bandits.

It's tempting to say, "well go and watch Wigan then".

Big Blade alert:

Once a Blade, always a Blade.
WTF does it matter what other clubs charge?

Only in football could people be happy to pay more than twice as much as other people out of blind loyalty

But it's not like going to Tesco to save a penny a litre or thrupence on a tin of beans, is it.

At BDTBL you get the full Blade-o-vision experience. Where else can you get that?

My point is more the fact that we'd of sold a lot more at 200 quid that at the 10% reduced price. Surely the aim is to get fans into the ground on a regular basis. Even more so with the pigs doing marginally ok. Just my opinion.

Unlike Huddersfield, Bradford and now Wigan they know (expect) they will get the fans in on a regular basis so why reduce the prices, they might as well exploit us.
We're real fans who will turn up on a regular basis the 10% was just to make us think we were getting a good deal for watching overpaid shite journeymen year in year out.

So what you're saying is something I don't want..

Is half the price of something else I also don't want....

Put a fucking decent team on the pitch, and I wouldn't care if it was double the price, until then, I'll be picking my games....

You've a lot of faith lads n lasses, you know there's another kick in the bollocks, or fanny for you before the season starts....

I agree that we'd sell more and from what people say on here the fans money means diddly squat in the grand scheme of things so there is no reason for us to not charge £200 or £500, it means fuck all.

Based on that, we should be getting paid £200 for the shite we've had to endure the past 2 seasons!!

Dont forget we have a lot of council tax to pay to the piggy council and we do not get any free council car parks to use on match days ., or free grants and haircuts .

surely they are only doing ok if they win the play offs
they were all on RS immediately after every play off loss telling us how its only the same as finishing 18th if you dont go up

Wigan and Huddersfield are both charging £179 anywhere in the ground for renewals to watch them play Championship level football.

If I paid that price compared to the cost of renewing my South Stand seat, even with the 10% off, I would have over £200 left in my pocket. That is a huge difference. As I have previously stated, I will not be renewing one of my sons, as he is now a full adult price, but would have spent that £200 on his ticket (or maybe a couple of pints before every game:)).

I may be out of step with the predominantly positive view of our prices, but I after the season of drivel we have endured, I really feel that McCabe should have been looking to match the best prices out there. I don't want to pay £200 more than someone watching their team in the Championship.

Wonder what it's like to support a club that is and always will be in the shadow of a Rugby League brother.

This is the reason. Wigan is and always has been a rugby town. If they were predominantly a football town then fans would pay more for tickets.

If someone told me I had to pay over £200 for an Eagles season ticket I know what I'd say.

10% off won't get new fans buying season tickets, and neither will it persuade the fans not renewing to renew. I just think the board needed to make a statement after the season we've had to try to keep the crowds up. Obviously if we are top of the league at Christmas the fans will be there. Another season like this one though, then we are in trouble.

But it's wrong Inter. Your opinion is wrong.

Sorry Inter, I forgot to add that smiley winky thingy ;):):D

Isn't it about generating more revenue ? If we reduce prices to £200 on the Kop will it increase revenues for the business ? If we have 14k seasons tickets holders paying at average of £300 now that is £4.2mill.Reducing to £200 we would have to shift 21k season tickets just to match that. Is that really going to happen ? (I know that doesn't include programme sales etc )

The Pigs upped their prices considerably for this season, attendances are well below what would be expected but I bet their revenue has increased as they haven't reversed that decision for next years tickets..

Bradford revenues will be much lower

Wigan and Huddersfield are trying to drum up support as their attendances are poor

McCabe hasn't got many things right in recent years but the pricing policy looks ok to me

We go to watch United play football, not improve corporate revenue streams. I think that we have started to lose focus on what actually matters. Ordinary working class United fans being able to afford to go to games.

I don't give a shit about putting more money in rich business mens pockets.

.......If our sole priority is to get bums in seats.

We would gain a thousand or so season tickets holders at best and lose a lot more money overall if we offered £199 season tickets.

And once you've cheapened your product to that end, there's no reversing it.
