Don't know about the crowd, but what i do know it sounded like it was full of Sheffield United supporters, amazing and made me proud to be a blade

Official figures say there were 8,500 Blades there. Not quite true, as there were Blades in with the home support too. Either corporate whores like me or just in with the Mancs.

Normally its on the Blades OS straight after the game or failing that the BBC match report normally shows it. An example of such a match report would be Sheffield W*dnesday v Fulham, the BBC report shows an attendance of a little over 15,000 at the theatre of rust * whereas ours doesn't show an attendance


*incidentally this is 7000 less than we had at home to Peterborough last week

Agree yet my lad tried to get tickets in the Man U side and there were only single seats left.
You have to assume that when they buy a season ticket that they will then take money from the card unless you tell them otherwise?
Also there were a few spare seats in our area. We must have some rich fans who buy tickets just in case? In each case who are these people who can afford just to waste a ticket

The thing people have to realise when they criticise the Man Utd fans for not singing yesterday is that they have no reason to get excited about playing us, no matter how many fans we take. It's like us playing Salisbury at home in the 3rd round.

When we were in the PL we were often the loudest away fans a team would play but that was because the majority of the top clubs don't give a toss about "Sheffield" as we were often known.

It's probably because they didn't know if people had turned up and left or just not turned up. It must've been 75th minute when they were leaving.

I really admire(d) Man Utd for what they have achieved over the years. They've won Premier League's with teams only good enough to finish mid-table, they toppled Liverpool of the top of the league titles list which automatically brings a smile to my face but my god, what have they become?!?! Terrible, terrible team. That has to be the worst i've ever seen them play. Definitely the worst i've seen them in the flesh, but probably even on TV.

As the chant goes "Where's ya Fergie gone?"

Fergie certainly knew when it was time to retire the team was ageing and the replacements were of inferior quality they were always going to struggle to match the team of say five to ten years ago.

I was sat diagonally opposite our fans with Man U friends. Few spaces around us. I can confirm all the noise came from the Bladesmen. Epic all the way through. My pals now know the words to GCB.
