Nice little windfall in January, we get 45% of gate receipts from Old Trafford based on 77,000 x £25 average per ticket!

Except the average price of a ticket won't be £25 and you need to take off operating costs (stewards etc) first. Still should be a windfall though!

You're right looking at last years 3rd round tie versus Cambridge adult prices were between £31 and £53 so my figures are way below!!

We will still sell the best players. Oh wait we havent got any good ones left.

The entry price for BDTBL is between £19 and £24 for Adults but the average ticket price received, after concessions are taken into account, is around £12.

Just further to this, Man U matchday revenue last season was £90.6 million which works out at £42 per person per game but this includes catering revenues etc. Not sure what the ticket revenue was but matchday operating costs are around £600,000 per game. At a rough guess, I think you would be talking about just over £1 million from the game.

Think the Club should put free coach travel on, can anyone have a word with Rooks?

Why should they? I mean yeah free travel is always welcomed but the game is a stone throw over the pennines and will be played at a sensible time on the weekend therefore in theory there is no feasible reason why the club should put on free travel.

The game is optional with more than enough incentive to go, no dispespect to you OP but I don't see where you are coming from with this comment.

Just thought its a huge amount of income that they weren't expecting, so as a gesture of goodwill why not?

No disrespect to the coaches at the lane but it's like walking through a church going on one of them, you can't even fart without someone looking at you gone out. Anyway, I've got enough money to get my own travel from the savings I got by not going to Oldham ;)

Plus £67,500 for winning the tie.

Is there a tie raffle? Will it be a half and half, football friends across the Pennines sort of commemorative tie?

Count me in! It will go with my half and half scarf and matching official not match worn half'n'half commerorative shirt! :)

Is that a realistic crowd figure though? (Ive no idea what they normally get for a low key 3rd round tie)

I just cant imagine that we're a big enough draw to get 65K Manure fans through the gates

Man Utd fans have to sign up for FA Cup tickets as part of the Season ticket conditions!

Very true and a bloody shitty policy. But the club has their fans by the balls, the waiting list is so big that they dare not lose their ST.
