Which as an example is something to be encouraged by. Fulham, like Birmingham, may relent in a week or two as their injured players return to fitness and Burn shifts away from contention.

To be fair it's a debate that could go on forever.

1) you can't knock the club for going for their number 1 target.

2) you could argue they should have 3/4 lined up for the same position.

The pattern so far would suggest we don't do number 2. Personally I find it hard to believe that there aren't 3/4 CB better than Collins or LB better than JMc that we could have signed. For this reason I find it infuriating we are gambling with each game we don't stengthen these positions.

Oh... And before someone says 93 days to cover Xmas blah blah blah... We should never have got to the loan window they should have been over pre-season.

Can't argue with this post ...........except the fact that I could probably find two better players to replace Collins and McEverley off our street !
Mind you, things will be much better when we get this scout guy Lee Turnbull ........ oh sorry he's been here for months !!!

The wait because of the 93 days rule, it could make it more difficult to bring in players. Why join a bottom half club if we've kept on our 33% loss ratio? Get them in as soon as possible to stop the rot.

August 2014 would have been a good time.

another thing if we get a list say of 1st 2nd 3rd and 4th choice centre back cover , keep it quiet from the fans , and through other clubs hanging on to their players we end up with 4th choice that way , wed be blissfully ignorantly happy that wed got a player albeit unknown to us our least wanted option

Done wasn't even our first choice, as far as I can remember.
If I was manager I'd either only give two options or just give them the 4th on the basis that's what I'll end up with so it might as well be now and not in 2 months after we've fucked around trying to get the first three on the cheap.
