Says everything mate, nobody is coming in, takes 3 parties to agree, we can only control one of those parties, etc etc

"It now seems certain we are not going to get the final deals of this window over line. We have had a good window with great additions."

From his twitter

To be fair, with 15mins to go, the only Div 1 deals to have gone through are loans and a couple of frees from what I can see.
All the money is in the PL and filtering into the Championship with parachute payments plus the fair play restrictions in L1 are starting to show the divide being created in football.

We need to get out of L1 this season!

It's all fingers crossed now that we don't get any serious injuries to key players,we may have a deep Squad but the top talent is a bit shallow, anything happens to Edgar, Sharp, Salmon or Basham in the next few weeks and this gamble to bank the Murphy money may bite us in the arse.

Why do I do it to myself? Every year I assume it wi be different and it never is! After the great start we've had, ultimately we've sold out player of the season from the previous year and have a negative net spend.

It's Groundhog Day and I fall for it every single time. Stupid me! Still think we're short in a couple of spots to mount a sustained title challenge, but no doubt Jim can spin it again!

Half the problem in recent years is the again, the twitterazi. It's easy to see why people get worked up over this player, that player coming in to a club when it's human nature to spend time thumbing these sources for any snippet of information that may be a truth.

People work each other up in to a frenzy and when something doesn't happen then there has to be someone to blame and it's easier to blame for breaking supposed promises than it is to admit you were taken in by the general excitement that social media promotes.

People who promote none-truths or half heard conversations as fact are the problem, the filtering of money from the top league is the problem.

We are second in the league, the squad does look thin if there are injuries to key players but where would we be if we continued in the NC mould of just bringing bodies in and forgetting the quality?

JP has already said that we were looking to bring perm deals in rather than loans, to me this means probably being the last link in a chain, we are at the mercy of other clubs but this should at least be acknowledged as a positive step rather than a stick to beat the club with.

How silly of me to expect some signings when a "100% re-investment" statement from Phipps himself arises.

I suppose i'll know for the next time he comes up with these tweets to treat them with a dose of skepticism.

He is learning from the master in Mr McCabe, sell your family jewel and then placate the fans with gascoigneesque bullshit. By the time they realise they have been duped again its too late, season tickets are bought and the window has slammed shut.

I think Adkins is a great manager, but I do have a fear that we won't hang onto him if he doesn't get the right backing from our board. I hear all the points about Billy, but we are still thin defensively and relying on loans.

I dont think the people in charge of transfers at the lane are fit for purpose

Thought it was down to clough and his sibling last year but theyve gone and the incompetence carrys on
