says in the paper that the FA are to have a complete structure overhaul and will have an independent chairman so that it will improve "decision making"
Christ McCabe, just drop the whole bloody thing. We will be in the championship next season.
Its OUR fault we went down, nobody else's.
Lets get over it and move on.

How was he stabbed in the back by Scudamore then ?
As I understand it, one of the two parties was asked by the other to cover a few things up. It also seems Scudamore was keen to shift any blame for the situation firmly on Aldridge. Sounds like they had some some of "gentlemans" agreement which Scudamore wen't back on.
Scudamore should step down anyway, for the good of football!
Any further points deduction for West Ham will be very harsh on it's supporters, manager and the new owners.
It seems if anyone deserves to be punished, it's Brown, Aldridge & Scudamore ( if he has been trying to cover things up ). Any further points deduction for West Ham will be very harsh on it's supporters, manager and the new owners.
But still, punishing them 3 wouldn't really be worth any money to yourselves and the clubs that West Ham finnished above now would it. After all, that's what all this is about.
Theres a massive amount of crap talked about football, but this topic has raised some of the most laughable opinions i've ever heard.
Blades stay away from Premier AGM
SHEFFIELD United are not expected to attend the Premier League AGM as they concentrate their efforts on overturning their relegation to the Championship.
The meeting marks the end of United's membership of the FAPL, with chief executive Richard Scudamore announcing he will forcibly revoke their card following the club's decision to declare legal war on his organisation's failure to deduct West Ham points for a serious breach of transfer regulations.
Earlier this month, United had threatened not to resign from the competition until June 18's arbitration hearing into the matter delivers its verdict.
But, despite enjoying the backing of Wigan, Fulham, Charlton and Middlesbrough, officials at Bramall Lane have opted to confine their protest to matters of protocol in order to protect their moral position ahead of what could turn out to be one of the most tumultuous summers in the history of English football.
Arguing that the FAPL's "irrational" display of leniency towards West Ham ultimately cost his side a top-flight place next term, United's plc chairman, Kevin McCabe, has vowed to pursue the matter to the High Court if necessary but is expected to delay a direct confrontation by refusing to travel tomorrow.
"I don't think we will be going," a United source told The Star.
Brussels based property developer McCabe, who will return to England to oversee United's preparations for arbitration, has been outspoken in his criticism of the FAPL.
But, barring a late change of heart, he will allow others to do his bidding inside the AGM while he concentrates on picking holes in the argument that West Ham have been adequately punished.
They wouldn't let it lie ...

Sheffield United have vowed to continue their fight for 'justice' - despite being stripped of their Premier League membership yesterday.
The Blades saw their Premiership share - one of which is given to every member club at the beginning of each season - passed on to Derby County, who have replaced them in the 07/08 line-up. Despite earlier threats suggesting that they would try to hijack the meeting, it was attended by the 20 member clubs only.
Despite officially being a Football League club now, the Blades are clinging on to the vain hope that an arbitration hearing on June 18th will reinstate them in the Premier League.
Lord Justice Sir Philip Otton will chair the panel alongside David Pannick QC (chosen by Sheffield United), and leading barrister Nicholas Randall (nominated by the Premier League).
Although the panel cannot overturn the decision to fine the Hammers £5.5m they could yet rule that the judgement was flawed and award compensation to the Blades.
Their Chairman - Kevin McCabe - has all but run out of options, yet insists that he will take the matter to the House of Lords AND the European Parliament should the hearing return a favourable verdict.
However the Premeir League have all but said that the enquiry is a waste of time, and little more than a case of going through the motions. West Ham's Premier League status will not be affected.
Thats all very well but at the end of the day, we were 10 points clear with 2 months to go and we still went down, all we needed was 1 goal and we would have stayed up. WH nor Tevez made us so shite thoughout the season, we did that.We shouldn't be dropping anything, thats exactly what they want us to do. Providing it doesn't harm our preperations for next season (i'm sure McCabe and his lawyers won't be taking pre-season training anyway!) we should fight it until theres no means of fight remaining.
Whats happened is clearly wrong, to many people, therefore on principal we must fight it.
We might get little more than a few quid, but it'll be worth it if it stops a similar situation in the future.
We may have been relegated off our own inability to get points, but even had West Ham been unable to play him after the hearing, I don't think they'd have been good enough to finish above us.
Dont ask why Im posting at 6.am in the morning either![]()
Blades turn to Hollywood for appeal help
20070603 11:18
Hollywood heartthrob Sean Bean is to help Sheffield United in their ongoing battle to be reinstated into the Premiership.
The Blades have turned to the Sheffield-born actor to help them in their bid to retain their status in the top flight and it is understood Bean will lead a campaign to MPs before an independent panel rules on their relegation.
The South Yorkshire side suffered the misery of being relegated on the final day of the season last month but are hoping that West Ham will be sent down instead over the Carlos Tevez controversy, which saw the Hammers fined £5.5 million by the Premier League for fielding an ineligible player but escape a point deduction which would have made the Blades safe.
Bean told the News of the World: "If I can help in any way to expose this injustice and get Sheffield United reinstated to the Premier League I'd be a very happy and proud man.
"If you look at the history of clubs who have been found guilty of fielding inelgible players, they were all deducted points. A fine is an open invitation for clubs to break the rules at will."
Apparently a leading PL official has told McCabe that he feels an arbitration process would benefit the blades cause and should that be the case we'd have a very strong case for reinstatement
Would they dare have the bottle to reinstate us though ?
Think of the uproar from West Ham would be if that happend.
Cant see West Ham taking it on the chin and accepting it if everything got overturned.
Yeah because lets not forget, West Ham are the last people who should be punished for West Hams wrong doing! I recon punish the other clubs supporters, managers and owners.
Infact, sod it, let's illegally bring in Ronaldihno, Christiano Ronaldo and John Terry, walk the championship and then Terry Robinson step down... Surely they shouldn't punish the new football club chairman based on your logic?
It's all about having fairness, consistancy and morals throughout the league.
Theres a massive amount of crap talked about football, but this topic has raised some of the most laughable opinions i've ever heard.
Alan Sugar had a points deduction overturned while he was the Chairman of the Yid Scum, on the grounds that the club was under a different administration when the rule break took place.
Spot on there sean.![]()
