That misses off Bob Cain, but that may be because he played for Spurs in their Soutthern League days.

But what did the OP give?

His opinion on tonights game of course. I think 4-0 to them and to be fair it should be. Also look in other threads where the poster has given advice on where to park, Hardly up his own arse as I see it. Posters on here have posted far worse crap, ahem.

I came on to see the lie of the land, give & receive match/travel & pub advice. Have a bit of banter.

I think i have been respectful to both the Sheffield Utd team & fans.

I wont be here after the 29th Jan.

You also have more likes than messages posted which is quite impressive!

The thing is with the Spurs team today , you just don't know what you are going to get , with a team full of Johnny Foreigners , and whether or not they will even turn up.

I'm a Fulham boy Bos, and old enough to have seen Haynes play regularly. Wonderful player who was a one club player while he was in England

Hans Segers?
If he'd have been in the Blades team when we played Spurs, he'd have played for Spurs.
Therefore he would have had his own caption "One player who has played for both teams . . . . . . in the same match".

Bit like that Begovic bloke tonight.

Saw Johnny Haynes play , i think mid 60s in a cup match against the Blades , Allan Clarke may have played .

Also Haynes turned down a good money deal to move to Italy . Yes Fulham always above Chelski , Spurs , QPR for me.

Another guy who was sheer class was John Collins in the promotion year.

4-0 Spurs.

Just gotta hope after 20 minutes we're still level, and then just take it stage by stage. Early goal down, and a long, long evening awaits the 5000.

As a kid my dad took me to most Fulham home games. They had a run of buying decent forwards - Rodney Marsh, Malcolm McDonald, Allan Clarke - and a so so team with a few decent players like Alan Mullery who eventually signed for Spurs. In that area it was always Chelsea, Fulham, QPR, and Brentford, so quite a compact set of clubs to pick and choose from.

4-1 Spurs, we get a soft pen which Baxter tucks away to give the second leg a bit of meaning...

I'm going down expecting to get somewhat tonked and not score to be fair. But I've never been to WHL and think a mid week cup tie where we are enormous under dogs will be good fun and a fantastic atmosphere. . . . And you never know

I might put a bet on Spurs to win, on my recent form we'll be guaranteed at least a draw

Well I thought that Southampton would get double figures and look what happened, so what do I know!
Heart says draw, head says 3-0

I might back the Blades to win at 9/1

Doubt we'll score, but I can't see us getting hammered.
Even 2-0 will do me.
The (real) lane might not be a fortress week in week out but for these kind of games there's no place like it.
This thread had just got me pumped.
Come on you red n white wizaaaAAAARDS!

Like WHL proper old school ground.

Anything more than a 1 goal deficit will be a tall order to overturn in the return leg. I beleive that will be too far a bridge to cross even though we should give it a reight go at the Lane on the 28th.

Not convinced we have enough teeth to trouble the scoreboard in an away fixture in the first leg of this tie so 2-0 Spuds is my preddy
Just hope we do ourselves justice cos if we play like we did at MKD at the weekend we'll get royally fucked.

Here is a couple of stats for you

Spurs have scored in our last 26 consecutive home League Cup ties (ie, since Jan 1999)

Spurs have only lost (excluding penalty shoot-outs) 2 League Cup home ties since the 2001/2002 season.

Its all going to go horribly wrong!

Good shout, Pedro, lad

Some shit research there AnotherSpur - C+ and a must do better.

btw - you have the bug now - we are your favourite Division 3 pet so you'll be back to play with us after the 29th - especially if it's us in the final :D

I got that 'info-graphic' off the Official Spurs twitter feed... oops

I think the Spurs fans that have come on here have been well intentioned and would certainly be welcomed back on here
should they want to wish us good luck in the final against Chelski

Who can name the 15 players that have appeared for both United & the mighty Tottenham?

I will start you with Walker & Naughton!

Funny that, some months after you signed the two Kyles I recall Redknapp referring to them as "Naughton and that other lad", in a fog as usual.

We will score tonight, that's all I'm saying.

And yes the Spurs visiting this forum have been a breath of fresh air compared to some from other clubs that have made a visit in the past.

Never understand going to the trouble of registering on another clubs forum.

I highly doubt he would've bothered if they weren't clear favourites for the game.

Edit - as Woodwardfan states above Southampton would be a different beast and we've knocked them out already. I doubt Mr "yid" would have ventured onto a Saints forum goading.
Not goading, just curious on what you guys think in regards to signing up on another clubs forum, we are playing you in a semi, 2 legs, not here to stir, just general chitchat till the game is over of course.

Yids

Right Blades. Im on my way. Lock up your mums.

Nice chatting & until tomorrow....

Spurs are on their way to Wembley
Tottenham's gonna do it again
They cant stop 'em
The boys from Tottenham
The boys from While Hart Lane!

I'd disregard Bianca's post if I were you Ray - not sure it's kosher, anyway ;)

There will be a few things which come as a surprise to Spurs fans tonight:

1. When the teams shake hands most of our players will be looking up at their players.
2, We will not kick them off the park
3. We will play the ball on the ground.
4. We will not threaten them at set-pieces.
5. League 1 players do not dive
6. League 1 players rarely pull shirts.
7. League 1 players are never " in the ear" of the referee ( Except Preston).
8. We do not have a big centre forward.
9. Kane will be the busiest player on the field, certainly none of ours will be.
10. Our fans will be as good as they have ever seen.
