...Do u think we'll have a sell out of 30k at bramall Lane the following week.? After all, it is the Carling Cup

Coca cola cup. But yes I think so.

One of the lads that sits behind us hadn't got his seat in time, went down this week and the Kop was pretty much single tickets only

I thought it was the Milk Cup. :)

2-1 defeat then win in extra time at The (real) Lane.

Spurs may have used up all their goals in recent weeks...here's hoping.

It will be buzzing. These big night games we all know are special. I cannot remember the last time we lost one? The only slight worry about that is it has to happen sometime. Even if it does, I'm quite sure the team spirit will be something to be proud of.
COME ON YOU RED AND WHITE CUP TARTS......AAAARRR.

Im not a big fan of this cup , and hold it in very low esteem , but the winning of it will shut up the pigges , ooh we have won something for ever so it has its benifits, dont want europa though , cant think of anything worse than playing KR Rejkavic or Jeunesse Esch and trying to justify getting giddy about it

Does anyone know the real capacity these days, when I state real I mean a match day capacity. Back in t'days of premiership we hit 32,500+ but for the Spurs game, there will be approx 2k empty seats in the Westfield Corner, part of the South Stand is 'meshed' along with the front 2 rows of Away End and even part of the Family Stand! I'm guessing the capacity is somewhere between 29-30k?

In July 2013, I went to Malmo to watch Hibs in a Europa qualifier (they didn't qualify). I got to cross the Oresund Bridge. I got to enjoy a couple of days in the Sun in a city I knew nothing of. I made several new drinking buddies. I got very drunk with my new drinking buddies. I marched from Lilletorp to the stadium in a procession with 500 or so Hibees singing our way through the city. I drank beer whilst watching the game. I stayed in the stadium with everyone else for about 45 mins after the game singing and dancing until they turned the floodlights off. I went back to Lilletorp and watched an alternative Swedish feminist comedian perform a set to an enraptured crowd. I finally discovered a price for beer I wasn't prepared to pay (hello Copenhagen). I'm sitting here now with a smile on my face remembering the surreality of it all and how much I wished and wished it was us and not Hibs playing.

I sort of get what you're saying, but I know you've never been more wrong. Just one go at all that with us , one crack at a season of European football and I'd take D1 for another decade. We've been here nearly half that anyway.

Just hope we are still in it after the 1st leg. Anything more than a 2 goal deficit will be near impossible to turn around given our respective league positions. I can't see us beating them 6-0 this time.....

I think we would have sold out by now if the home leg was first - but I think some will still be waiting to see if we are still in it after the 1st leg.

Some mates of mine support South Barnsley and when they played in Europe they played the European giants Spora Luxembourg. Hardly a glamour tie but they went and had loads of similar stories to yours Raul. Including going in a bar that resembled someones house (might have been) and great times with the locals.
I asked them why they were going to watch such lowly opposition and their response was "We're playing in Europe, we might not live long enough to see that happen again"
I for one would love the Blades to qualify for Europe and wouldn't care if we got drawn against Kazakstahns version of Brunsmeer. I probably wouldn't be able to afford to go (cos the family would want to tag along, the freeloaders) but I would be absolutely buzzing for you lot who did.

31500 ALLOWING FOR ADVERTISING BOARDS

THERE ARE 33000 SEATS

The absolute full to brim capacity was 32,066 when we last counted them in 2009.

However, that includes disabled & helper seating, corporate & commercial areas, press seating, police and steward seats and private boxes. The net figure of available ‘public’ tickets is (or was, at least) 30,488

And once you take segregation and safety into account, it obviously drops more – how much is often decided game by game and isn’t as simple as ‘how many seats you cover up’ other things have to be considered like escape route segregation for example.

It's 32,609
But there will have to be at least 4,000 spaces between the Spurs fans and the United fans just in case somebody throws a balloon around the place and a full scale riot is set off.
Sheffield City Council will be exploring ways with South Yorkshire Police to increase that gap to 6,000

Online is currently showing SEVEN single seats remaining on the South Stand.

Kop is limited seating in the middle sections with no double seats available.

Beats an away day at Fleetwood in all honesty. Look at Rauls post and for all those reasons you want to do that. Just once in your life.

Hmmmm. Being a pessimistic sod, i was waiting to see how we do next week before committing to fly over. Sounds like that may be a mistake.

Hang on. Its my life's ambition to see United play in Europe, Jeuness Esch would do just fine to start with............

well if we could guarentee going far it gets interesting , but going on hulls "adventures" in europe they added 6 / 7 extra bodies to cope with extra games, including young harry and suddenly found themselves out before the league cup re started, and to be fair you can travel independantly across europe and discover more without having to waste 3/5 hours going to a 0-0 stalemate in dubrovnic,

Ive heard the porkers point scoring attempts of weve been in europe but an evening in the spora stadium in Luxemborg ranks alongside playing Inverness ct in a pre season friendly
