This would be interesting TBH.We're desperate for a strong DoF who has the balls to tell Wilder that this is crap.
We're absolutely lightyears away from the overlapping centrebacks, creating overloads on the wings, organised chaos where everyone knew their role and executed it brilliantly. We've not had any form of system or tactics since then. Brooks' comment about Selles "giving them roles so they actually knew what to do" spoke volumes.
I'd love to know what loanees like Donovan think of our training and match prep compared to what they are used to.
According to speculation we could have got almost the same price for Cannon as did for Cal. I assume they are on similar money, so I'm baffled why we chose to sell Cal.This would be interesting TBH.
Fair play to Cannon, perfectly flicked the header on for the goalNot defending Cannon, because he really does seem to have very little in the way of redeeming features as a Championship footballer, however we lumped the ball at two absolutely massive centre halves for most of the game today.
He did one really funny thing first half though, got in front of the big donkey on the right, got his body in exactly as you should, then it just hit him and went out for a goal kick![]()
Because he wanted the moveAccording to speculation we could have got almost the same price for Cannon as did for Cal. I assume they are on similar money, so I'm baffled why we chose to sell Cal.
So did Cleary at Barnsley, but they kept him.Because he wanted the move
So, stats after 40 minutes, 8 touches of the ball. Absolutely 110% not acceptable, first home game of the season.
Wrexham met our valuationSo did Cleary at Barnsley, but they kept him.
What do we value Cannon at then, mine would be about £50. My point is Cal at £7m or Cannon at say £6m. I know which I'd take.Wrexham met our valuation
You'd rather keep a player who asked to leave ?What do we value Cannon at then, mine would be about £50. My point is Cal at £7m or Cannon at say £6m. I know which I'd take.
Must admit I quite liked the header he won to setup McCallum’s attack for the second goal.Cannon is shit. End of debate! He has not shown anything that makes me think of him as good football player! We paid over the top for him and we will be lucky to recoup half of it! Hes taking up a spot that Marsh or One could be doing!
Was that ever on the table or just journo talk as 2 of his previous clubs might have once shown an interest and both were in the market? We should've taken the £7m for Cannon though. Regardless of O'Hare.

Well done Tom. Credit where credit’s due.

Absolutely, but I also don't believe we'd turn down that sort of bid. A loan with an option or a six figure fee? Maybe.Seemed to be a lot of smoke for there to be zero fire but who knows.
If £7m was on the table, that should've been bagged.
I guess there could have been a Preston/Stoke ask is he available and our response similar to COH yes for the right price/something along those lines.Seemed to be a lot of smoke for there to be zero fire but who knows.

Great he won a header that happened to find one of our players, get the bunting out. He then did his usual fuck all.Must admit I quite liked the header he won to setup McCallum’s attack for the second goal.
Well done Tom. Credit where credit’s due.
Just feckin sell Cannon , I'm sick of hearing his name and remembering yet another inglorious fuckup by my club. What do we value Cannon at then, mine would be about £50. My point is Cal at £7m or Cannon at say £6m. I know which I'd take.
…. He’s here all year!Just feckin sell Cannon
Ok , so the January sales then , when we need to raise more £ to put 50p in the floodlights…. He’s here all year!
Didn’t he win the penalty as well?Cannons achievements this past week...
Won a header.
Scored a penalty.
To read some try to make a case for him not being useless and a waste of £5-10m is nothing short of staggering.
Fairs fair...Didn’t he win the penalty as well?
Give the lad some credit![]()
I think he’s got a pair of these now so be should be ok on the laces front:Fairs fair...
Looked like he'd tied his own laces on Tuesday night too.
Decent week all round for him!!

I think it was 5m + add ons. But once you factor in the saving of the wage youre probably about 6m and add ons at which point surely you can justify it. Just make the add ons performance based if we’re convinced he’ll score goals at a Stoke. Either way I don’t see how he’s triggered any add ons to Leicester unless they were appearance based. We should've taken the £7m for Cannon though. Regardless of O'Hare.
