People not appreciating the size of relative problems is always funny to see. Have a guess at how long that half a million would last based on typical Championship losses.

If you said it would run out somewhere between the Bolton and Norwich games, give yourself a gold star
May be a week, but a midweek away tie at Rochdale isn’t going to help that has the opposite affect! The point I’m making is that we need money in and with our diminishing squad we don’t need extra games, half a million albeit knowhere near enough is a positive amount.

It was the look of utter disdain on the Sky Presenters face. After saying Fleetwood will play Sheffield United, she was completely lost for words.

Definitely winnnable

Ched's on fire. Four goals in the past four games for Fleetwood.

Worst memory of 2014-15.

That ***** of an announcer at the end

Today’s final score. YOUR Sheffield United 1 Fleetwood Town 2.

I have never shouted WANKER so loud. I may also have used the F word

I was at that match, and it's a game that got erased from my memory within half an hour of leaving the ground.

I also remember losing 2-0 at home in the 16/17 season, on a freezing cold winter night when we had a minor slump on our march to 100 points

Not that we’ve ever won there, 4 games, 3 league draws, including 2 last minute equalisers, EEL and a Che Adam’s pen and we lost on pens in the FLT.

I hadn’t realised it until now, but I’ve seen all our games there.
I came away from that FLT game convinced we’d lost that shootout on purpose to get out of the competition because the penalties we took were some of the worst I’ve ever seen.

Interesting draw for the next round - several all premier league ties, and premier league/championship, then some league 1 ties. Get through this next round and a favorable home tie against league 1 or championship team after that and we could find ourselves in the quarters.

Could do with a good cup run, need the money and bit of excitement would do the squad good.

It is a very good draw.

One of the lowest teams. Beatable. A little bit of interest with Ched there.

Elsewhere, all 20 PL teams are now in and at least 6 will go due to PL v PL ties.

Good chance to get to the last 16.

Still some possible manageable teams so hope we pass this one then get the winner form either Orient/Bradford or Peterborough/Barnsley to open up a quarter final spot.

We will have a compact squad when the window closes but with plenty of players who benefit from having the game time.

Great draw I think. Should treat it seriously though.
By the time the window shuts I’d be surprised if we have any players you’d class as fringe or downgrade.

It will be swapping Doherty for Seriki, Arblaster for Peck, Campbell for Bamford.

Good or bad, we at least have a squad that can be described as much of a muchness. I don’t see a big margin between those that have the shirt and those that don’t.

Now that might also be endemic of not having any outstanding players but it also means we should expect a level of consistency even if it isn’t stellar or eye catching on a weekly basis.

In a strange way, the squad feels quite deep now, despite what will be lower numbers than before.
