At this point I’ve no idea I was told they’d accepted the bid and he was all set- can only be Leicester either wanting to delay until they have someone in to replace him, or they think they can get more money out of Wrexham?

I think they need to get players in. I expect its part of a domino effect.

I expect something could be lined up for Nils and McGuinness but neither are leaving until we get more players in.

Completely agree Anel would fill up the centre halves, get someone to recruit wingers ( not wilder ffs )

In 1975 (i think) i played in the supporters club - under 14 - 5 a-side final before the last home game of the season v QPR (Silent - was it that season ? ended 1-1) . I played for Aston, and we lost 3-0 v Eckington under 14`s (there was no way they were under 14 - most of their team drove to the ground and had beards - that was just the women)

Anyway , we got changed in the old cricket pavilion before the game, as the Lane was still 3 sided , i distinctly remember a voice eerily vibrating through the oak beamed eaves and oak panelled walls . It sounded like the wind - remember this was in 1975 . I think i heard - but can`t fully confirm - the words were something like...

....you have to die for fkin three points ....

Anyhow - we lost 3-0 , cricket ended , the pavilion was knocked down and the curse started .

You do start to think. Just hold on a minute. Slow down.

We’ve been very Souttar obsessed, whether Chris admits he’s got other targets or not.

It’s now escalating out of control it feels.

We took in 15m from Brooks and Hamer because we shave a shortfall.

We know there is a bit of medicine to take post parachute payments.

We’ve had a go for Souttar and not for him. We’ve gone very far.

Meanwhile McGuinness has had two good games and we’ve not conceded a goal.

Now if Anel, who is also a goal threat, emerges as an option, especially if we can get him on loan first, then just do that. Moving to 3 at the back is also easy with Anel. He brings pace out of defence which Souttar doesn’t.

Just think we take a pause here. It’s getting silly, especially for a bloke who doesn’t have a good injury track record.

Move on from him. He’s not worth £10m to anyone, never mind us. Target another centre half for ~£5m and spend the rest on a left winger. Those are the two positions we’re crying out for and if we get good players in each position I’ll be much more optimistic.
