The times of fixtures are a fkin joke - why are these games 12.00 anyway - I thought these early matches were just to avoid crowd trouble ffs ... EFL and the TV etc just disregard what the supporters have to go through to attend these games - useless c%nts

FFS! You can’t blame Sky for this one!

Epitomises how badly the club had been run for many years. An ex Prem club should not have this issue.

If there was an area of concern that the club knew about, there will have been preparations that could have been made for that spot.

We also should have made fans aware much earlier - even if it was letting them know about a scheduled inspection.

Must be very annoying! (I predict he'd have spelt Bramall Lane wrong).
Even the dozen or so who got on the 10:05 train with me at Alfreton didn’t know…and that’s only half hour away. So this must have caught hell of a lot of people out…At that late stage it might have been better to delay the kickoff by a couple of hours…Now it looks like a night match in prospect.

Im not a fan of these new owners based on what happened this summer, but how is anyone putting the blame on COH for this?

Oh for the days when we shovelled the snow off the pitch and kept the braziers stocked up overnight for a free ticket.

I’m annoyed as had a ticket with my dad but more baffled than anything. We’re at Norton Lees and it’s clear as day, not even frost on the cars and we usually get it worse than town.

I can understand if the heatings bust, but it doesn’t appear to have been a heavy frost in S8, a mere ten minutes from S2.
Go in the garden & try to make an impression on the lawn with your heel,it's bone hard, the question is ,was the undersoil heating on ?

Don’t feel sorry for the Oxford fans. They’ve got a steady few hours of boozing ahead of them.

Reminds me of Peterborough and Leyton Orient away 15 years ish ago, both called off just after I’d arrived.

Also seeing heavy use of the word “Tinpot”. Possibly the most annoying phrase in football after “bang average” and “baller”.
And ‘top top player’

The official SUFC statement says the undersoil heating was used.

So obvious questions.
1: How can the pitch be frozen if under soil heating is switched on?
2: Apparently it was only a small section of the pitch that was frozen. Why? Did those parts have functioning undersoil heating?
3: Last night temperatures dropped to minus 3…..very cold but nothing particularly rare.
So if we have sub zero temperatures in future….could other matches also be postponed?
4: Are we in danger of having a fixture pile up during our potential promotion run in and what is the club doing about it?

It’s so unprofessional and embarrassing by SUFC.

I think Mr Chansiri pulled the same trick when he ran out of money

Just heard from a fella who knows one of the grounds staff...

Pitch itself fine
Technical area and touchline area was the issue so off of the pitch itself

Again only what I was told not gospel

I wouldn’t worry too much about question 4 tbh.
