This began last season and in the poor, at best, strategic decisions and long term planning under the previous owner.

It's no surprise at all.

The first time in years that this 'punter' has changed his 'narrative' and bet against us in a cheeky winning treble. Cheers Chris!

Blade for life but seen also too many managers in life who can impress those above with cheap rhetoric and positive language.

God, it's sad. I'd like to think we might find enough effort and points to stay up but I really don't believe it.

Or, maybe a visit to Division 3 might just be the wake up the club and some fans need?

I watched us in Div 4. It’s always been up & down, often dramatically so. Some of us understand what supporting a club means, and have the spine to keep turning up no matter what. Others don’t, and that’s fine.

Cannon is a striker, Burrows is a defender..

Let's keep it simple here then..

Maybe thats part of the reason why I say Cannon should have took it..

Also cannon is always on the bench..Burrows was dropped for the first time since he came today (I think)

Also in days gone by, you'd have a striker struggling and you'd give him the pens to take the weight off him a little, get him started, thats another reason..

Only bothered about your own opinion, or are you related to Burrows then?

According to our fans he definitely would have missed.

But if you're a striker who needs a goal, your getting that ball and taking it if you've got a pair arent you?

Agree mate watched them in Div 4 and we’ve had some of our best years recently. We are not a big club as many think we are, we are not seen as attractive club to finance guys. In saying that we do well.
We’re going through the transition that was expected last season, I still think we won’t get relegated. But some big decisions need to be made on a way forward for our team.
Just as a side note, many of those saying that’s it, will be back oncethe frustration has worn off. Once a blade always a blade

Yes, but he's normally on the bench, unlike Burrows whos been a starting player since arriving..

That's why Burrows head wasn't right, he's not normally benched..

Will you want him taking the next one then?

I get up every week at 2-4am to sit on my own in an uninsulated ice box (don’t move anywhere south of Darwin if you expect to be warm for any more than 3 months a year) and FaceTime my elderly dad so he can watch along when on SUTV. Come rain or shine I’m here so there’s no bigger blade… even so, there are some obvious issues which I don’t feel like I’m whinging to point out.

Recruitment seems off (no long term plan), corners are horrible (with McCallum a vast improvement today), fitness in non existent (with players blowing out of arse inside first 45), and the team selections look weird almost weekly. What is it with playing three at back and seemingly asking them all to stand next to each other? What is it with not starting attacking runs at the ball on corners and instead trying to cuddle the keeper? What is it with never taking a man on and instead trying to pass backwards? Make it make sense please 🙏

They could do worse that getting Courtney on the staff. She's astute, says it as it is, a great commentator, knows her stuff and not a seasoned bullsh*tter unlike some
 

To win "a game of football" ...see what i did there...you have to score at least one goal. In the nine games we have played in six of them we have failed to do that. So unsurprisingly we are down the bottom.

Now CW said he would pick a team v Charlton that 99% of Blades would pick. Well around 99% of Blades can see that Campbell is useless up front on his own. If we want to score goals we need 2 up front and we cant play 3 at the back with 2 none attacking s Peck and Matos.

So get 2 up front and stop playing a CM tjst has nobody who can get forward or score a goal.

Unfortunately that's a big problem as McCallum doesn't do anything offensively. Burrows needs dropping but as honest as SM is we get no attacking output on that side when he plays. On the other side we have a wide forward who we could do with cloning. The other option is a mercurial youth who pucks up a lot of injuries. Quite the quandary.

We could very well see Wilder’s reign ending with us back in League 1, no higher than Wednesday, with no new training ground or new academy facilities, no significant major ground improvements, a poor squad, and having run out of money.

We deserved something from that game today, we didn't get it, we move on.

We all say stuff we don’t mean when we’re upset.

The world is going to shit, football is our escape, why we are all on here chatting shit in the worst place. Perhaps it’s wise to cut each other a bit of slack. None of this is our fault.

The players, management, come and go. It’s different for us, when you’re in you’re in. Such is the lot of a football fan regardless of who you support.

Our manager (whatever I think or many of you think) gets that.

Too many of our players, don’t get it. It’s just a job to them, a job that they currently aren’t good at.

If my KPI’s were this bad I’d be emptying my locker, whereas in football failure is rewarded.

We are failing

That rant after us beating S6 was embarrassing, classless, unnecessary and always had the potential to bite him and us on the backside, particularly as they were in the mess they were at the time, and still are.

To be fair, he was right. Being the top team in the city is cyclical, but it appears that our cycle has had both wheels fall off, the seat collapse, the gears drop out and all because it wasn't properly cared for.

Too much noise, too many clichés and insufficient substance since Christmas 2020.
