Disappointing result (again) but i think we looked half decent again. It'll click. Wilder needs time with them on the training pitch and they need to get fitter.

After 65 minutes we'd had 5 shots. We had plenty of the ball against a really poor Hull side but we looked like we had no idea how to create a goalscoring opportunity. Then we went two up front, had the penalty, and spent 15 mins pumping the ball into their box aimlessly. We probably deserved a point overall but we were really poor throughout.

We haven’t created loads but still hit the post , had one cleared off the line & missed a pen ..we should def have come away with at least a point . They’ve really had the one chance from poor marking & won it .
And before anyone accuses me of being a Wilder fanatic ( I wanted Robins ) we have been better in the last 2 games than the farce of Selles .
Personally I’d rather see us with 2 up top of Campbell & Ings

I don’t normally like whinging, but I do not agree that we were quicker to the ball or ‘fought for it’ more than Hull did. I saw a few occasions where our players pulled out of tackles in important areas.

It wasn’t our worst performance by a long way, and I agree that we were probably the better team overall. However, the lack of effort at key times was disgraceful from some of them. Those margins make all the difference.

We’re just plodding through games, these past 4 have all been meh against opposition that are so bog standard. That’s the issue, we’re passive and not taking the game to the opposition. The odd half chance here and there isn’t good enough, Coventry have scored treble what we have for the season in their last 2 games

I'm not much of a doom monger, I'm fairly indifferent to Wilders return and I have no real reason to justify it but I still hold a feeling we'll pull out of this weird tail spin we seem to be in

HOWEVER, you can recite as many stats, near misses, shouldas, wouldas or couldas but the only important one that matters is the final score and the reality is we have won 1 game all season and that is really not good. It’s as simple as that. People can "whine" but as far as I'm concerned they're entitled to.

Overall things have improved slightly since Wilder came back, but it's not enough.

I think lack of fitness is a huge problem. We don't look like weve had a proper ore season which is baffling. Get them fitter, they start making better decisions and not switching off at certain times in the game and they start finding that better final ball. Strangely I don't think we are far off turning the corner but they have to be fitter.
