Currently sitting at a shockingly bad save percentage of just 64%. Eg getting towards 1 in every 2 shots on target are going in.

Cooper has conceded 13 goals but expected goals on target is 8.67, so not too far off double the amount he should have.

Worse off, 11 of the 13 goals conceded have been lower than waist height and seems to be very slow to getting down to shots lately.

If true that he's playing with a knee injury, is it right that we keep him in the team...

Unfortunately He's performing on par with the rest of the squad

Cooper with one leg gives more confidence than Davies...

Based on what, can't be anything based on this season, especially regarding low shots which have gone through his legs, under him or too slow to get down to.

In fact his stats as of right now for this season aren't far off Grbic stats for us in the Prem.

Goalkeepers arnt immune from a lack of confidence it is rife amongst the squad at the minute. Not unusual for teams to have a hang over after being beat in a final!,compound that and the turmoil with Sellers and the owners acting like school boys with there attitude to building a team with no experienced adviser .
It's been a complete mess and it could end in relegation.
Check back and i said after the Bristol defeat that we could be in trouble! I just had the feeling things wernt going to work with sellers ,
Some good players came in towards the end of the window but and it's a big but!! No target man! Mcbernie was there for the taking and we let him shuffle along to Hull,we now have a lightweight set of forwards no physicality at all and we will get bullied in most matches.
Wilder has a big job on ! Hope I'm wrong and we pull it together.looking like another roller coaster season only this time it's at the wrong end of the table.

Compared to the ridiculously high standards he set in the first half of last season, he has looked off it for quite a while.

Like the rest of the back line, he deteriorated as soon as we lost Soutar and his positional sense seemed to get worse. I still think he should have done better at Wembley.

He's a sitting target with a poor defence in front of him, the times wingers have cut inside our full backs and scored is nothing short of embarrassing, as the thread says Coops is least of our worries, give him the cover he deserves and he's a great keeper,

I think the defence and Cooper are just short of confidence. I'm fairly confident our CB department is of a decent standard this season, we are light on attacking options. Almost the opposite of last season

Ironically in the prem, we were saying the exact opposite with Grbic

Give the defence a good commanding keeper and our defence will grow in confidence.

I guess we're just good at picking whatever narrative fits 🤷‍♂️

He can't get down quickly enough... that back pass goal by Watson at Wembley proves it.

Wasn’t it reported he was playing with an injury at Wembley too? The injury that prevented him saving their 2nd goal is probably the same one that’s been an issue this season.

Imo

Anyone who doesn't think that we are in a genuine relegation battle is deluded .

We have very little forward quality and we can’t buy a goal .

just gone from having lots of passes in the opposition box last season to nearly devoid of any passes in the opposition box
dont create chamces wont score goals , losing Moore has seriously diminished out threat level

Based on the fact we would have lost by more in almost every game if he wasn't in goal.

His confidence will be low, but we could have easily been 2-0 on Saturday before they actually scored if he hadn't been in goal.

I am not disagreeing with you that he isn't as solid as he was last year but he also started the season last year with a really solid defensive unit in front of him. This year, he has had what felt like guiding lights directing the opposition towards his goal

Our team hasn't worked defensively this season. Selles wanted the high press, but the players weren't made for it. The likes of Barry, Campbell and Brooks aren't fabulous when it comes to closing down. Midfields including Hamer and O'Hare as 8s will be the poorest midfield shield in the division. Our back four hasn't been able to cope without that protection and this has lead to a number of unchallenged finishes from close range, and consequently Cooper's job has been much more difficult.

I keep reading these reactive threads about certain players being the problem.

O’Hare Hamer, Campbell, Cooper and Peck all seem to have taken a varying amount of stick of those players here last season with a good track record of playing in a team that was amongst the three exceptional teams in the division.

The new players haven’t escaped either and whilst it’s harder for them to gain any credit, in this current side, not all of the players will be shit and need replacing. Some of them certainly don’t look good enough so far and it’s a worry for our recruitment that we seem to have got a few players so badly wrong for a side wanting to push for promotion

Snap judgements are easily made and whilst some players will need time out of the side, with healthy competition in some positions. Others, despite stats in 6 games, will need to work themselves into form

Cooper will be one of those. He’s a step up from most keepers in this division and he’s most likely low on confidence as well. With respect to Davis, I’d rather we had Cooper starting. Injury is a different thing, but if it’s form alone then, stick with Cooper

The big point is that it is still early and whilst Selles had to go, the players now need to make themselves accountable and step up. We do need to be patient and there are still 40 games to go. We also can’t do much before Jan anyway. The players need support not tearing apart after each game

If he isnt suffering from and playing through an injury and lets two shots in one game through his legs as per Ipswich we have a major problem

If he is etc etc it isn't getting any better playing him and we have a major problem.

No keeper - keeping.

We have very little forward quality and we can’t buy a goal .

No strikers - striking.

Midfields including Hamer and O'Hare as 8s will be the poorest midfield shield in the division.

No midfield - midfielding.

Our back four hasn't been able to cope

No defence - defending.

No hope - hoping?

Do think he's playing injured, that said he's the least of our worries right now. One of the few assets we have and I'm sure he'll get back to his best soon.
