Not sure on whether it's a credible account but I do know somebody mentioned it to me in the pub at half time of the Boro match (on Sky) that Peck had been "chinned" during training! Don't remember them mentioning Soumare, however, so does add up.

Bit of a loose cannon then is he?

This will explain his absence

Almost like it's a good idea to sign players you can vet more effectively isn't it, rather than a bunch of random foreigners. If he was at an English club we'd know if he was a bit of a nutter

We need him this season though so hopefully he's just been given a few lashes and told to buy Sydie some flowers

Were we to believe these rumours on a shitbait rumour website, we would believe that he's a bit of a loose cannon.

This would explain his absence were it to be true... which it probably isn't.

We need him this season though so hopefully he's not been given a few lashes and not told to buy Sydie some flowers as that website is probably bullshit given it gets other things wrong.

FTFY....

This wouldn’t surprise me because he was straight into the Birmingham players on his debut and the only other explanation for his absence is that Selles doesn’t rate him at all. Maybe he’s not very good, but he looked like he had something from what we’ve seen on the pitch. He also carries some good data with him from a decent league.

Selles probably acts like Sgt Wilson when dealing with this shit. Gritty Wilder Mainwaring would’ve beaten the shit out of any dissidence.
Other way round. I would say that Selles losing his rag would be far scarier for the players than Wilder doing it.

Do you really think so?

CW grew up under Bassett, who would regularly start fist fights in the dressing room. I remember he wasn't exactly a dainty petal on the pitch as a young lad, so he knows how to look after himself. Other people who have seen him in 'other scenarios' can confirm that.

I'd much rather RS threatening to chuck his paella up in the air, than CW squaring up to me.

I think if it came to it Selles would take Wilder all day long. I know which one I would prefer to go up against. Not that it matters, of course.

If they can't play together... it's hardly an agonising decision to drop Peck on current form.
So...........on unsubstantiated rumours, you would drop one of our own academy products who has just completed a very good first season in men's football, and made his England U21 debut. A player who has shown all the spirit and effort that the fans crave in one of our own. A player who has been hung out to dry by the Manager's strange formation and tactics, in order to play somebody who we have seen for 56 minutes in a meaningless game............deary me .

The good old days with proper entertaining footy.

Well i went to Swansea and I could swear I saw him play 75 minutes and actually look like one of our best players.

Given we have been regularly run through all season its been a mystery why he hasn't had another chance. This rumour may well be the reason. Im not advocating dropping Peck, who has been poor but completely unsupported, but we clearly need a good CDM.

Looks like Matos has been brought in to challenge for that role and given hes 'our player' he will be in the driving seat for the position....especially if Soumare is viewed as a loose cannon.

Probably BS but it doesn't bother me slightly if true. He was needed for the Millwall and Boro games though...
If he's rattled the cage a bit isn't that what we need? I'm sick of going down with a whimper.
He's been dropped to the bench as well, he's not in the under 21s or out of the squad, so he's obviously not lost his professionalism too much.
They do need a rocket. Is he the right man (new, young, inexperienced and on loan) to do it? Who knows? But I'd much rather he's had a passionate bust up than got done for drink driving or something like a few of our other wasters have in the past.

We need a defensive midfielder in the team. Someone HAS to make way and its not going to be Hamer.

Obviously my comment is only applicable IF the rumours are true, and in reality I have no idea. Such is the beauty of this forum, we get to talk in IFs because we don't have the foggiest clue of what the truth is.

Was it wilder that said Peck thinks he should be playing for Real Madrid and England?
