Selles is going with one striker flanked by two wingers. Campbell is likely first choice and Cannon second choice. Moore was surplus to requirements and wouldn't suit our new style of play.

Give Selles a chance to sign someone before the moaning begins. Even then, whoever he signs will be third choice.

Geez, the summer we sold Ndiaye and Berge had less meltdowns than this one.
I suspect it won't be that simple. I suspect we're going to see a striker play out wide from time to time as well.

Thought he was a good fit when he came, never lived up to it. Still, good money for him and off the payroll. Parkinson will use him correctly, same as he used Madine and will be effective.

I’m not sure KM completely deserves all the flack he’s getting from our fan base, but feel it’s amplified significantly by “that” pass at Wembley.

I thought he was fine, though the deal with his age in mind was a bit of a strange one. He did a good enough job and helped us get to the points total we had last season, so isn’t the worst thing that’s happened to us by a long way.

It sounds like a good deal all round tbh, but let’s not pretend he was some shit lump who did nothing for us.

All the best KM, thanks for last season 👍

good move all round for all 3 parties moore was never going to be a selles type of player and think ryan one is capable of doing the same job for us and it gets a big chunk off the wage bill

I rate Kieffer Moore and would rather he was staying than not (unless we have a better option coming in, i.e McBurnie).

He puts himself about and leads the line well and mobile for a big man.

I was disappointed by his decision making in front of goal, he often passed when he should've shot and vise versa, and his execution was mixed.
I was surprised at the latter, as he's got a decent record at this level and we saw in flashes how good he can be.

At 32, I doubt his fitness / form is going to get much better so to make a profit on him is the right thing to do.

Unfortunately, his Blades legacy will be the moment at Wembley and he might've struggled if he'd stayed here.

From a Sunderland fan.

If he had signed him on a free transfer or a very low fee then I'd say it was good business. Although we spent 2mil on him but thankfully have somehow convinced Wrexham to sign him for a similar price and he is a year older.

As always it depends who replaces him but at 33 he was going down in value quickly based on performances.

Didn't i read that we wanted a new forward in before Moore leaves? - and Moore has gone.....

I suspect Wrexham gave us an ultimatum, they'll have wanted him in for the week's training ahead of the new season. Moore's clearly not suited to Sélles' style of play so it makes sense for us to move him on, particularly given that we've (somehow) made a profit on him.

Campbell
One
Cannon
+1 other - should be enough striking options

I was hoping for a faced paced front man to run the channels but alas seems like Mcburnie (although better than Moore)

I think any doubt KM had about how the fanbase felt about him was decided at the Burton pre-season game. He misplaced 2 simple 2 yard passes in quick succession and missed a glorious opportunity to put Cacares clean through when the whole ground could see it.....the groans, moans and complaints were audible enough and the fact that he was probably the only one not to come over at FT spoke volumes.

Don't let the door hit your arse on the way out Kieffer.

In the league home game against Bristol City he did the exact same for their late equaliser. Casual, lazy flick which gifted them possession and dropped us 2 points at a crucial stage where we could've opened the gap on 3rd place Burnley even further.

Ok, mistakes happen. I was disappointed in a striker of his quality & experience to make that mistake but it was a one-off...until the PO Final where he did the exact same and got the exact same result. About 8 weeks passed between both incidents.

Making that mistake once was forgiveable, but to do it again in one of the biggest games of our history is absolutely unforgivable.

Whenever I watched him, his body language was that of someone who had no desire to play football anymore. On a group chat I suggested he's ready to become a contestant on Celeb Love Island....turns out he'd prefer to be on Disney+ instead.

Good riddance.

If we're playing a front 3 then it's more like:

Canon
Campbell
One
Barry
Brooks
Ukaki
