I’m a fan of a signing like this. Lots to like:

• out of nowhere. Nobody telegraphing it for weeks
• athletic at 1.89m, 6’2.5”
• only 22
• experienced in a decent league
• low initial outlay
• great opportunity to sign if a success

Seems similar to Souza but younger. It does make you wonder if someone like Peck could be off. You’re ideally starting with Hamer and O’Hare. Then you’ve got Davies to hopefully just preserve Gus at the end of games, and Jeff/Marsh. Then when Arblaster is back it feels you’ve one too many. I guess some may leave or go on loan but it’s hard to keep a big squad happy.

I didn't realise C.D. Nacional were in the top flight of Portugal, as well as Braga. Im not sure what level Braga B play at but a full season in their top division is a good sign.

In fairness, before we tarnish this fella with a hate crime every time he makes a comment (and I went in hard when I heard a fellow Bladw had made homophobic remarks) I've just looked back at his tweets and he says the new lad needs to toughen up and spend some time with Chris Morgan. Liverpool's have 4 regular Brits - Jones, Elliot, Gomez, Robertson.

yes RND got injured half way through the promotion season, at Coventry. He was having a fantastic season up until then.
Hope he can recapture that form but injuries may have taken their toll.

I think he cut ties with his dad altogether over it

It's probably a bit of both, but I suspect both he and the club know we won't be meeting those demands.

He's not nearly as good as he thinks he is, and I'd be surprised if he plays at a higher level than us, but who knows.

That’s all true regarding his dad. That doesn’t mean he, or more pertinently his wife, want to live in this part of the world. He tried hard to move last summer. But I haven’t had a direct update on it from my very ITK source since Christmas. So things might have changed.
