When is the errea contract up?
This is the last season, Suspect the new owners would have changed this year if they could have, but it would have been too late, kits are picked around November time. IMO I would love us to go back to Adidas long term, better quality kits and the training wear is lightyears in front of most others.

Knowing our luck they will go with castore 🤣

Template or not, Adidas were streets ahead of Errea in quality and fitting. I couldn't care less if it was a repurposed version of another team who also played in stripes. It was the badge on it I was bothered about. I also preferred the deeper red Adidas used (apart from the hideous 2020/21 relegation shirt). Another interesting thing is, despite the gulf in quality, they both retailed for the same price. I'd rather pay £55 for an Adidas template than a bespoke Errea shirt.
Foxtrot, both Adidas and Nike spend more on R&D than Errea generate in annual revenue and thats why their product is infinitely superior.

However when the board decide who to appoint as kit manufactuer they are much more interested in how much of the revenue 'we' get to keep and id bet a million pounds that we get more from Errea than we did fron Adidas. The fact is that us muggings will buy the shirts whatever the quality so there will be a similar amount sof Errea ones sold as Adidas irrespective of quality

Really hope this is the last year of (di) errea, sizing is shocking, materials poor. They don't wash well and it is bloody expensive for a "cheap" brand....if I had the choice it would be Umbro

Yes you're probably correct. The R&D by the bigger names will be much greater, particularly on the anti-sweat, breathability technology of the material in football shirts, and I'm not going to disagree with you there. See Castore on that debacle with Aston Villa....

But I don't think there's much going on that's revolutionary about an embroided badge, and being able to employ an adequate stitching technique so the damn thing is straight and stays on the shirt. Also the cut and fitting of the shirts - a bit less square, so when you're wanting something to fit round your chest, neck and shoulders nicely, it isn't riding up your stomach because the sizing is all over the place. I don't think much R&D is need to achieve the fundamentals of basic seamstressing and sizing.

I'm not after the latest fabric technology, I just want a shirt that fits, and stays in one piece during the course of a season. Errea have been awful. Design-wise, 'ok', but workmanship and quality have been really poor. I have every Adidas shirt bar the 2021 home shirt, but only 2 Errea shirts - the first home shirt, which looks decent but fits terrible, and the maroon/gold 'keeper shirt which still has tags on. Massive difference is quality but expected to pay the same prices.

Adidas or Umbro next please.

I own 1 Erra shirt from the first season we had them, end of season sale 20 quid, which is all the Skeggi Market tat is worth.

Nike's product should be superior but it's cheap tat to maximise profit, on a par or worse than Errea. Adidas are better quality but just generic stuff with a Blades badge stuck on.

A much better, deeper shade of purple in 'real' life! I like it,

Still not sure about the collar, but haven't seen it up close yet.

I think it looks nice.

I dont think the kit designs have been too bad with Errea.

Hearing what people say, its the quality of the material that lets it down (i'm 50 nearly, so i dont buy kits anymore).

People moaned when we had adidas, so no matter who designs or manufactures the kit, you wont please everyone.

When was the last time everyone was happy re the kit, bright laver promotion kit under Bassett?

Having said, i'm sure it would have been met by 'we'll look like we are about to dig the roads up', by some 😂.
