Mee would be a decent back up CB may have affordable wages

After that they’d want one last payday and I prefer to see development like Burrows or peck etc then Coleman and Lallana who have been great players but no thanks

Does highlight some of the shite that’s made a living in the epl tho

Tom Carney if it goes tits up Satdi pending wages

None of them. The Robos wont be fucking about with mercenaries.

Question: if that list was a full squad, does it stay up (barring KDB and Trent) ? I think it would have a better chance than any 3 promoted teams. If we were to go up, I’d be raiding that list as much as possible, experience and fitness is 9/10 of staying up against the robots of the prem

I'd love to see Mepham, Keane or Davies at the Lane. Nothing against Anel and Robinson but we're unlikely to stay up with the same pair who took us down last time. We must move forward and improve the team, not the squad. There's nothing wrong with having a player like Anel on the bench as backup. I call that progress. Always aim to sign players better than you already have. This is where we've failed in previous campaigns.

Toffolo would be good competition for Burrows too.

Plenty of experienced CBs available there. Dawson and Mee also.

I could see Wilder liking someone like Evans just like he had Jagielka too.

Walker-Peters another obvious one given we’ve been borrowing right backs all season.

Having signed Tyler Bindon on loan who appears to have all the attributes required to be an outstanding CB at least at Championship level , I don’t think that this is a position we should now be concentrating on .

For me , the area in which we are most lacking is that of another striker other than Campbell who can cause defenders problems and at the same time has an instinct for scoring goals on a fairly regular basis .

I would like to be proved wrong , but I don’t think that Tom Cannon is that player and without a better alternative for him, I can see us struggling in that department just as we did last season

We only have Anel, Bindon and Robinson as confirmed centre backs unless Baptiste or Sasnauskas make the step up in pre-season. One injury to Anel or Bindon and Robinson is back in the saddle. I still think we need at least one more centre back and a right back to shore up the defence.

I think the issue with goalscoring had a lot to do with lack of service and the lack of goals from midfield, both of which will hopefully be addressed.

I think the new owners seem to have gone all out on this AI model of recruitment and are looking to these signings to be part of the first team squad, possibly on the bench, but conceivably in the first 11.
The problem with putting all their eggs in one basket,( if that is indeed what they’re doing), is that we’ll be stuck until January to bring in any players of the right established pedigree and paying top dollar to do so, should the AI model not be successful ! 😮

The signing of Bindon says otherwise.

I think some are missing the point on AI. It's to try and identify those young players from far flung places that haven't already been discovered. The aim will be to develop them integrate them into the first team squad then sell for big profits.

We will be using traditional methods to decide which available, established players that are within our budget that we should be signing. This will involve the recruitment team and the management team and NI ( normal intelligence) which incidentally includes data analysis and has done for years
