I think it clears a slot in the squad for a striker or loanee to come in. Miller is a decent player but the way we play it's difficult to slot him in. I think he needs to play in a strike partnership rather than as a loan striker, so perhaps the reason

This makes no sense to me. We are short on strikers and have two u21 players on the bench today, surely Miller would be a better option on the bench than those two? Unless of course i know sweet FA and we're bringing someone in......

Looks like he's not in clough's plans and been sent off to Shrewsbury so he can put himself in the shop window for when his contract is up at the end of the season.

I would think so, and I would also think we'd a a decent proposition for a premiership player who's not getting game time.

Playoffs are done now, so the next few games are about gelling for the trip to wembley....

I hope Cloughy is freeing up space and allocating resources for an out and out striker. As much as I think the current system obviously works, a good striker infront of Murphy, Flynn and Scougall could offer us a bit more conviction next year.

Miller needs to be starting games if he's to get any level of sharpness back given the injury he's had. The move makes some sense ahead of making any decision on his contract this summer.

Absolute stupid decision on todays performance. First match i;ve been to since the comfortable victory against Crewe, the lack of a real striker was the painfully evident today.

There was a season when we had a mid table finish when Warnock blooded Jags, Tongey and Monty.

It would be nice to think we could test some youngsters and see if they might be good enough.

Miller just hasn't looked sharp enough even if he did score in the last minute.

I'm not sure who would go back to create a loan striker spot and as we've been saying for months, a good enough striker wouldn't be interested in our position. I don't think Cloughie would say to anyone they would be guaranteed a semi final place.

Good luck to Miller but I don't think he'll be good enough next season, I'd release him. We must be able to coax a good enough striker this summer, surely ?
