Got a few marinos tops as well from my time in Yokohama and they’re really good. Designs are always spot on

Please tell me that's been altered?

I love Gus and really hope he stays but if that's real, it's incredibly unprofessional returning in that shape.

In the last 20 years, John Parkin is the only pro player I've seen with a visible gut, even in pre-season.

I’ve not altered it it’s from the official photos I just zoomed in. My guts less than that and I’m trying to lose 5-7lbs

Last season i was in the club shop taking loads of the Black away shirts off the rail to inspect the badge as most, easily over 70% were twisted with the rose pointing towards the shoulder. I did manage to find a straight one eventually.

It was even Wonky on the official promo:

Yesterday the club tweeted an image of O'Hare wearing the training vest. Many pointed out that the "UNITED" on the club badge was missing some letters. United deleted the tweet

That seems a mess from both the manufacturer and staff at the lane (if they do the printing).

I have heard loads of issues with the shirts in the past (as you have also confirmed), what are the shorts like cos its them that that i was refering too?

Not sure that's proving that tbh mate.

I've no axe to grind with Gus in general, I love him to bits as our player in a few ways.

But that pic looks likes he's carrying a bit too.

Even athletes have different builds but today with everything included in the game from testing to nutrition to sports science, I'm not sure any player should be carrying a bit unless they're injured.

We've had the likes of Hodges called fat, Windass and Ginola etc, all showing their torsos to prove differently.

Id be happy for Gus to prove me wrong too although I'm not advocating him stripping 😀
 
Not sure if he’s just built that way but I’ve heard he likes his food. Shame really as that’s probably the biggest thing holding him back from playing regularly at the top level and possibly international football.

I just think it's his build. 100% he needs to be able to go 85+ minutes, last season wasn't good enough in the regard, but looking at him, l think he's just one of those people that are built solid and stocky.

Who was that winger we had on loan from Forest? Was it John Robertson? Probably not but he was a bit of a lard-arse, whoever he was, but still a great player. Of course, the game's moved on, I understand that.

Thankfully it matches my new "Pneitirld Uyicites til I die" tattoo.
 
I seem to recall another "fat lad" who didn't do too badly as a professional footballer.

I really don't buy the narrative that Hamer is on the Luke Littler diet because he got spotted in a takeaway in Dronfield once.

Some folk are just a bit chunkeh.

Amazing how many of the truly talented players are built like this. In terms of world class players Maradona, Gazza, Ronaldo (Brazillian) were always a bit portly and for us some of our finest ball players like TC, Glyn Hodges, Gus were never that svelte.

In days gone by it didnt matter as much but nowadays it's much more difficult to make it without being an athlete due to the speed of the game and the penchant for the high press
 
Umbro produced shite for years during the 00’s and 10’s but I’m now fully on board with get them back ASAP. Them and Kitlocker - a Sheffield company - are doing some great stuff recently. Giving lower league clubs like Grimsby, Carlisle and Cambridge some cracking bespoke designs.

It's the age old issue of "it looks easy" when you're sat in the stand.

If I see snooker on TV, I think god it's easy the balls aren't even moving and you can take ages to pick your shot, then my best break ever is probably 4 balls in total! 😂😂
 
Oh for the good old days when half the team were chain-smoking fags in the dressing room at half time.

Who was the last confirmed smoker in our ranks - Keith Curle, or have there been one or two since?
