Delighted with the win, but like against Watford away I'm frustrated with the last twenty minutes. We can't seem to keep possession of the ball. Yes, Derby created little but a better team would have punished us.
Choudhury looked solid today. UTB!

Warne sides always make it scrappy you can try and outplay them and play into. Their hands or scrap and we went for the latter
I'd suggest some of you turn our games off and watch Leeds or forest instead
I went, and delighted we won. But in all honesty we do need to improve if we are going to get a top two spot, in my opinion

Looking forward to Gamer's return. No bookings for a while please!

Surrendering possession in the last 20 when we're winning is a deliberate tactic. One to be used every time, regardless of the opponent, regardless of the game

This is what we've been doing all season and signing Choudhury will see us do it even more

Good result, even better with Burnley dropping points. But we were frankly absolutely dreadful and a bit lucky to get the win. Hopefully we’ll improve as the new players get integrated into the side.
I wouldn't go so far at to say we were dreadful but I did feel a little underwhelmed by the game overall. Thought Clarke had a good game.
What happened to the drummer in the 2nd half?

He agreed to Blades fans polite request that he sticks his drum up his arse!

It's a tactic that makes no sense. All it takes is a lucky deflection or a slip and we drop 2 points.

A few years ago we had average footballers but a brilliant team, but now we've got good footballers and a poor team.

We've scored 3 goals ONCE this season, back in November. We're so slow to move up the pitch, we allow teams to get 10 men behind the ball, and we basically make our job twice as hard. We've got some great attacking players but hate attacking, and we've got an average defence but insist on defending for 80 minutes.

A better side would have put away two 2️⃣ f their chances
Agree and they were poor. We looked vulnerable from crosses. I'm hopeful though once Hamer comes back. I can see something good happening.

I know it's frustrating and I don't know why we are like this. I just can't see it changing until next season and if we go up.

Turning the ball over so frequently can only be down to the players. Perhaps we need a massive change in player personnel if we go up unless we don't mind yoyoing for a couple of seasons.

When the tactics are "slow it down, pass across the back 5 until the opposition have regrouped, let the opposition close us down, start rushing passes and hope something happens" we're going to constantly lose the ball. It's happening against teams near the bottom who generally aren't good enough to capitalise but I was hoping the Hull game might have been a wake up call. We won't stand a chance against Leeds and might possibly get spanked at home, and Burnley will know they only need to score 1 to win.

That is obviously a thing tactically, although today, with Choudry and Clarke in there they were more aggressive than passive. They played more balls forward than backwards and sidewards. We need to do more of it.

I also noticed more balls going down the left hand side particularly in the first half.

We really have missed Hamer for the last 2 games which will help with ball retention.

I hate saying this, but we really should be destroying Portsmouth next week. We will put out the strongest team for months, but we all know how that can play out.....

You mean the Burnley that drew Nill Nill at Portsmouth today?

Yes, that Burnley. They've had 10 0-0s this season, we struggle to break down poor teams that sit behind the ball so I can't see us having any chance scoring away at Burnley. Therefore they'll only need 1 goal to win.

Agree, if we get promoted and play like that against the likes of Bournemouth, Newcastle, Forest, never mind the top teams, we would get destroyed by 5 or more goals

It was like watching a Gareth Southgate England team today

Next 2 or 3 games with Hamer back and the new signings in is the time to judge for me. Although we had bodies today we were still not a cohesive unit as some were playing out of position still.

The good thing is we’ve proven that you don’t have to be playing well to be in the top 2 of the league, hopefully at some point we ‘click’ but if we don’t we still might have a chance.
