Ask me how we won that game and the answer is: I have no f'ing clue...enjoy the time off, see you December 14 as I'll be back in Bradwell for a week.

Spot on stretch, backs against the wall performance but AGAIN we found a way to win

Our big players Hamer, Vini, RS were very average due to games plaued, but we still did it
I thought Vini did well tonight and he looked liked he was struggling quite a bit as he kept rubbing the back of his right thigh all night.

For me we made it easy for Sunderland when we went forward. Too many players stopped their forward runs and looked back to pass backwards. It was Southgate football. Burrows and Rak-Sayki were the main culprits as well as O'Hare and Siriki on a number of occassions. It was frustrating watching us doing the defending for Sunderland when there was no one near the player with the ball and they were under no pressure. They could have continued their runs and got a cross in. When they did keep it they cut inside and ran straight into a defender and couldn't get the cross off. It was so annoying watching us do it time and time again.

3 games in 6 days with little rotation - 7 points. Their legs had gone at the end and it was us driving on. I thought Hamer and Pecks work rate was outstanding second half. Some great blocks and tackles from the defence. Yes the passing wasn’t as good as it has been but Sunderland pressed us hard first half and that’s why they tired.
Brilliant effort all round

Very poor first half, sloppy couldn't keep possession. Better second half and a fantastic end to the game! Sunderland will be up there at the end of the season.

Our success this season is built on the defence and Cooper for sure (hope Anel an Souttar get a good rest). We was pretty sloppy today an got away with one which hopefully is a sign. Need to up our game in these type of games and hopefully reenforce in January. UTB.

The answer is mostly Cooper’s penalty save to keep us in it when they were well on top and we kept gifting them possession. They were dominating, and failed to score - with Cooper stopping them at their gilt-edged moment - which is the classic recipe for ending up moaning that ‘We’ve got no points, But, But, But we were the better side for most of the game!’

Currently averaging 2.3points per game........if Wendy are aboard HMS Piss the League, we must be a fucking Iceberg!! UTB!!

Thought we were best team 2nd half

0-15 minutes we were the better team.
however it was mainly keeping simple controlled possession passing it around the back.

15-70 minutes Sunderland were the better team, knocking it around giving us a lesson in how to keep possession,
fortunately they were a bit toothless up front and we defender really well (again) then Sunderland tired badly on 70 minutes.

70-90 minutes we were the better team again.
we showed more energy, desire and character...the crowd also helped sensing we were the more likely team to score

You can't play well every week and fair play to Sunderland who I was impressed with but we've got more match winners than most teams bar probably Leeds and we've got the best manager in the league for me which helps! He has assembled a team full of character and never say due spirit.

Fantastic match tonight, really enjoyed it, even on the BL upper! I sooo wanted to be in the kip but short arse children of mine would never gave seen owt.

Wish he could assemble a fluid attack! fuck me we’re frustrating to watch.

I know it’s going against the grain after an excellent win last night but is no one else concerned about how we play in general? It’s not great, we get well outplayed by anyone decent which doesn’t bode well if we end up in the playoffs

We looked lost in the first half but that second half performance was monumental.

It's not quite a simple as that.

When we have spells of possession then we do and can play well. You only need to look at the Oxford match 3 days earlier where we played free flowing attacking....nice possession football with Oxford generally chasing shadows.

However what's noticeable and quite worrying is that when we have spells without the ball
like away at Leeds, Boro (2nd half), Sunderland (middle section of the match) we then revert to being a long ball side and struggle retaining possession.

In the Premier league there will be spells where we don't see the ball or are sat back defending.
Wilder needs to work on the team keeping possession, taking the wind out of the oppositions sale.

Without Blaster we lose penetrstion through the middle. As good as Peck is he doesn't drive forward with the ball and it's a bit of a hot potato sometimes. With Blaster taking the ball on the turn and running with it he breaks the lines and opens the pitch up. With Peck and Souza the oppo can play a lower block which is difficult to break down.

It might be that Davies can solve this but putting Hamer more central would also help. However and it's a big however, we are winning games so why change it at present?

Considering we were beat more times than eggs in an omelette making competition last season, it’s a miracle what Wilder has done with the mentality.

I haven’t had the time to count up all the added time but just in batches of 90 minutes, 12 hours without conceding at home is remarkable yet coming from such a low bare as last season is absolutely insane.
