Oxford worst team at the Lane since?

Credit to Oxford fans who were superb in backing their team, but apart from the first ten minutes they were the worst team I've seen at the Lane in years (not including us last season!). The only possible one in recent years was Peterborough when we beat them 6-2?

Not wishing to disrespect Oxford, they've done well to get to the Championship and they started the season ok. I thought they were awful today though

It was bizarre, couldn’t work out what they were trying to do. A number of times Peck and Souza got the ball with their backs to goal and turned under no pressure to pick a pass.

I thought Oxford were quite reserved I assume they were just trying to avoid a repeat of their Boro match.

They didn't really risk pressing us and were hoping to catch us out on a mistake.

Respect to Oxford for me. They didn't come to shithouse and ruin the game, they tried to play the game properly and were undone by a team of superior quality. Game was played in the right spirit, no playacting or histrionics, and they kept trying to attack right to the end. Good luck to them for the rest of the season.

Tbh, I thought Derby were worse than these, Stoke definitely were worse than Oxford.

Oxford should stay up this season as they have some good players, I've been a fan of Branagan for last few years and think he'd be good for us, liked their number 7 as well.

We were all saying tonights game was a throw back to the league 1 days.

It really felt like we were playing someone like Port Vale, half expected Billy Sharp to be playing for us.

Agree at least Oxford gave it a go however Stoke, Derby, Luton, SW clearly came for a 0-0 draw and didn't take chances pushing forward.
Oxford gave it a go but (unlike Stoke, Derby and SW) were always so vulnerable and weak at the back.

Stevenage a few years ago were the worst collection of guys wearing the same kit I have ever seen. They had no skill, couldn't pass, had no plan, tactics and were clueless about positions apart from everyone seemed to be in defence. They were fi and strong though! Notice how careful I have been, not to call them a team!
