I thought he did well too.

Ridiculous decision to call a foul when he won the ball cleanly.

Nice little reverse pass to Campbell for the shot on target too.

Not sure if that run from Campbell could have opened things up on the other side of Brewster. Could have done with Peck and Brooks making themselves more available.

Came on and looked okay today. Long standing critic of him, but he looked decent doing the basics.

I mean... did you even watch the game?!

He has contributed well in a number of games now. It might also be harsh on him but he’s been brought into games late on to see games out, often having to keep Possession and make sure we don’t give the ball away cheaply in the middle and final third. He’s done this very well

He’s also bringing players into play or having a go himself and but for a bit of luck he might have himself a goal. It'll come for him and I think he’s pushing O’Hare

Just needs to switch on more when defending corners as their lad had a free header

Yes I wondered if I could have faked the pass and taken it to the right and gone for a curler into the bottom right corner himself but he went for the unselfish option.

Given a bit more confidence he may have gone alone.

Nowt wrong with Brew Dog, he's had a stinker of a time with bad injuries but he's kept his head down, is almost fully fit and with some game time he'll do well for us this season. If you're looking to find fault, as some of you fuckers seem to delight in then you will. Me? I'm hoping he gets a run in the side and will be happy when he shuts the mardy arses up.

Spot on,

I’d be half tempted to give him a start against Swansea. Along with Brooks.

Stick Brooks on the left and Hamer in the 10 and Brewster in for Moore.

I think Brewster being a straight swap for O’Hare is just what he needs at the moment, playing in behind the target man is how he seems to be doing well.

Get Campbell some more game time in for Moore and I think he’ll do well up top, certainly causes problems.

Brewsters distribution and link up play is impressing me

Having Moore as the target man isn't working, he doesn't win enough headers and when he does we're nowhere near him. I'd definitely start Campbell, with Brewster in the mix as we look so much more dangerous running at defenders as opposed to whopping it up to a big lump and hoping we get lucky with the drop down.

Really good start to the season for him despite not scoring, he's really had a terrible time with injuries, but his link-up play has been better than Moore's, and that's what Moore was (partially) supposed to bring to this team. Nice little pass to Campbell, who also looked lively after coming on. His goal will come, and I think he may get 7 or 8 this season if he continues to improve his fitness (if doing a lot of work there).

Seems many Blades like to use his price tag as an excuse to not support him. He's still at the club, and everyone should be supporting him. I agree with the assessment that you can tell a lot about a Blade by how they speak about Brewster.

If he was a new player who we had signed on a free (like O’Hare) people would be asking for him to start based on the few cameos he’s made recently.

Unfortunately some people now are desperate to see him fail & blame him for his injuries and the price we paid for him.

100%

After last season the fans had turned on the likes of Souza and Anel. They’ve been given a fresh start this season and are performing really well.

Brewster deserves the same. Fresh start this season and see what happens.

I bet he’s training his arse off. I would be. Last year of contract, finally seemingly fit and desperate to actually play some football.

So far this season he’s done nothing wrong.

I don't think anyone is desperate to see him fail, I think it's more a case of people feeding off scraps to justify their opinion that there "is a player in there". Reality is if anybody uses that game as evidence of him being good or bad then they are probably wrong in doing so. He did ok and that's about it.

He was lucky with their late corner when he got easily beaten to a header which their lad should have scored

I saw enough against Wrexham he didn't take one of good three chances including missing a penalty. It's goals returns now united need from him to make up and make a difference like today in tight game
' One of good three chances'
Slagging a professional athlete off for not being able to do something you can't even say is a bit rich

Nobody is 'desperate to see him fail' In fact everyone is desperate to see him score 30 goals this season. He's just got to show he's good enough to start as Wilder clearly doesn't think he is

You clearly don’t go on shoutbox during games. People moan the minute he enters the pitch or makes one bad pass. Far more than any other player.

Last 2 games have been his best performances in his time at the club, he looks like he knows where to be on the pitch and linked up play well.

I can’t believe people didn’t believe me when I said he’d come good!

Don't think people want him to fail....think it's more about them losing patience and giving up
however I feel the vast majority of Blades are still desperate to see him do well and start scoring.

Think it's not accurate to compare O'Hare with Brewster.
O'Hare has had several seasons impressing at this level.....as recently as last season.....so we know O'Hare should be a big asset
Where as Brewster has had just 1 season impressing at this level....and that was 5 years ago.

There is a valid argument regards whether Brewster is even Championship standard or maybe league 1 is where he needs to be.
Also when his contract runs out at the end of the season should we offer him a contract and how much?

I'm in the camp where you can see that Brewster does look to have quality and seems to be unlucky regards his decision making
however when someone is so close to scoring but constantly unlucky.....then at some point you can't continue blaming bad luck.

Thought he did well today.

That's all I'm judging him on now. What he does on a game by game basis.

£23m of course not. Laughable. But that ship sailed a long time ago for reasons argued and debated over a thousand times. That interest doesn't interest me now.

Did he do a good job today? Can he fo a good job for us for the rest of the season for us? Will he actually score a goal for us again? How much would he cost if we mutually wanted to extend his stay at the Lane (on much reduced terms). They are the Qs i have about Brewster now. No others.

He did well today when he came on and contributed to a well earned and difficult point away from home. He's done his job for us today at least.

i’d be tempted to start him ahead of Ohare whos been poor for a while now. A decent cameo from rhian today.

Didn’t see today’s game so can’t comment on how he did.

Main (and obvious) problem with Brewster is that he doesn’t score but that also seems to be the case at the moment with Moore.

Brewster in my opinion needs a run of games in which he actually starts. Taking an optimistic view, this may improve his fitness, sharpness and confidence. A pessimist on the other hand would fear that his body won’t stand up to it and he’ll contribute no goals. Wilder would have to take a chance but at least he’d find out one way or the other. Bringing the lad on for the last twenty minutes or so every game doesn’t really help although to my eyes he’s done okay when he has come on.

It’s worth bearing in mind that although his Wikipedia entry says he played 13 Premier League games for us last season he only actually started three. One was Arsenal away when he was on his own up front and we got stuffed 5-0. He’s perhaps entitled to a pass for that one. The other two were Wolves, home and away. Didn’t do much in the Bramall Lane game but he was impressive at Molineux against their full-strength defence and was by common consent our best player.

He's been looking good coming off the bench for me,and same today apart from could have done better defending the headed chance they had.
His link up play has been good, just needs a goal and maybe more than 20 minutes off the bench.
I'd love him to come good, and we really need him to.

Rhiann Brewster is like a Twix

There’s two bars he has to overcome.

1) His injury
2) His lack of confidence
