Souza
Pass completion %95= First
Tackles= first
Blocks= first
Interceptions= first
I take it you are not judging him on todays performance??
Totally agree, i don’t know what match the others were watching but Souza def put a shift in

The question for me is can we play O’hare and Hammer for 90m

for the 2nd week running i was saying one of the them needed to be subbed and Peck put on

or as i thought Moore was ineffectual yesterday on the hour, I would have tried Campell and Brewster to run at their CBs

But what do I know

UTB

Watched them both a few times now and peck is clearly a massive upgrade on Souza ... Slightly reserved about playing loads of young player but....m if they are good enough they are old enough and peck is clearly better than Souza
Always thought you was a troll on here. This now proves it.

Would like us to get to the point where we are able to sing:

Vini souzas magic, he Wears a magic may.
When he came to bramall lane, he said I fancy that.

He points to the left, he points to the right and when we win promotion he the point the way alright...

Where does one get one of these magic mays?

Sell them on the Moor, only on a Tuesday, when it's a full moon. It's amazing what magic May can do. It's like the over 70s version of magic Mike

Couple of typos in that song...

But has given me time to put together:

Oh vini souza, points the way for

SHEFFIELD UNITED, SHEFFIELD UNITED

Wouldn’t go that far, just thought he was poor. You’ve got a different take, dickhead? Great, let’s hear it. Tell me why Souza was good yesterday…
Tell me why he wasn't .you obviously didn't go ,dickhead ,oh how I laughed

Peck on for O'Hare or Brooks and going to a midfield 3 is looking a good option later in games. Either that or drop Gus back to bolster the midfield

I'm pretty sure we're playing Souza to get him sold at a decent fee. At which point we'll presumably recruit a DM or Peck will see more playing time (EDIT: Obviously not a regular).

For what it's worth, after a handful of u21 highlights, a few sub first team appearances, plus Wrexham match... I do think Peck will be better than Souza at everything.

Will be disappointed if Souza doesn't get sold because I think he's a limited DM with poor motivation and concentration. Plus Wilder literally stopped playing him last season for both performance and attitude.

Going tomorrow just to watch Sydie peck masterclass again.

Based on what?

One League Cup game against a League One team?

Daft.
I was firmly on the peck bandwagon after wrexham, this post has aged very well 😂

I hope we see more of the old peck (from a week ago)

Peck is probably good enough to sit on our bench this season and drop in ad-hoc.

But he'd benefit so much more from a loan. He needs to figure his game out, improve his decision making and sharpen his skills.

He's got talent in abundance, but he just needs what Arblaster got at Port Vale last season. Minutes in men's football.
We can revisit the situation in January.

In the meantime, if we could sign a couple of midfielders to allow this to happen then that would be great.
Stuart Armstrong still available on a free..

Rotherham or Barnsley would be a great loan for him.

I think if he’s good enough to sit on the bench that’s where we should use him. He won’t get benefit from playing league one, he’s ready for championship.

As good as he was the other week, he was poor tonight when they pressed us. He wasn’t the worst out there though when Barnsley turned it up, that honour goes to RND.

Peck showed a lot though, didn’t give up and perhaps some better decision making and finishing he might’ve got a goal. Needs to relax a little more. He’s not far off but is behind a number of players before he starts

Which should be a reason to send him out on loan, no? At his age he needs minutes consistently for his development. Playing against weaker opposition in League One will help his confidence, too.

I think he’s ready and will benefit from being around better players and playing better opposition. Get him alongside Souza or Hamer or Blaster and he learns more week in week out.

He will get minutes and to bring someone in and send him on loan is counter productive.

I disagree, while I havent watched EVERY academy game, I do watch all games streamed on Youtube either live or replay.

My main concern from those games was I hadnt seen Peck play consistently over a full 90 minutes, often flashing hot and cold.

He needs to be playing full 90 minute games at mens level... bit part cameos wont help grow his consistency.

I wouldn't like Rotherham.

I'd like to see him go somewhere where they play the ball on the deck.
Peterborough usually play pretty decent football in League 1.
Could go there with Curtis.
Good point actually yes you are right there I thought it may be best of he stayed local but you make a good point there.

Fair enough, not seen academy games, only first team. But looks like he needs plenty of championship minutes to me as he’s not far off.

Marsh, Hampson and Sachdev I’d send out on loan

Instead of doing what we did with Arblaster last season in sending him out and recalling him in January, why not keep Peck around the squad til January as cover and then maybe look at getting him out on loan if necessary.

It would mean we could look at prioritizing other transfers this summer and then assess the situation in January.

Did it work with Arblaster?

Absolutely. The ubiquitous moronic 'needs a League One loan' brigade are out in force once again.

As you point out he may well be playing league one football, but he'll be training alongside league one players, in a league one training programme and chances are he'll turn into a league one player...

He'll be better served playing with players with PL experience, with a coaching team that will be setting the tone for the short/medium term and getting valuable experience training and playing with the players he'll be around for years.

Exactly. Elite mentality
