Yeah Cooper or Rushworth but preferably I'd want Cooper since he's he'd be ours permanently and his stats last season were really good
yes i think it will be cooper now the osula deal is finalised if that hadnt happened think it would have been rushworth or dubravka

Hopefully the keeper situation is resolved by a strong permanent signing.

We’ve got enough loans now and need a strong core on permanent contracts.

Goalkeeper is essential to forming a strong core and a confident vocal keeper breeds confidence along the back line.

It’s also a position where if you buy young and British you’ve got potential to make a substantial profit after a couple of seasons

Paid for by offloading about 20 players, next year we'll be even more skint
20 players? Thought we let around 12/13 go? The rest went back to their parent clubs and weren't ours in the first place?

Totally agree, often thought a vocal keeper with a winners mentality trying to help the defence organise and see danger is massive.

Thought Wes was excellent at shot stopping but was fairly quiet and could be suspect coming off his line and was suspect at kicking too. Individually a very good keeper but he didn’t gell with his defense like Henderson did.

Does anyone know if Cooper is a character like Henderson or is he shy and quiet?

It will be interesting to see who CW goes with tomorrow. I would have thought it will be Davies. It may be a red herring but Grbic doesn't even have an official squad number

I agree with most of that mate but would not mind a loaned top striker because good strikers are not cheap to buy . As you say we need a good permanent goalie Cooper sounds good but has had injury issues and we have had enough of them over the past 3 years ,hopefully he is over them now.

Not against another striker in on loan at all. We’ve got Moore on a permanent there but he absolutely needs backup as we cannot expect Brewster to be fit and available going of past experience.

Believe Brewster is out of contract at the end of the season so a loan to cover Moore and him this season would make sense but we need to be planning what happens next summer soon.

Extremely unfortunate for Brewster as he seems a genuinely nice lad but I can see us releasing him once his contact expires which will be sad all round.

There are key positions where we look short and could do with a few more permanent contracts.

Be interesting to see if Cooper will be in net when Plymouth play the pigs, Rooney said he'd be involved but if a fee is agreed with us will the owner step in and say no to Rooney starting him?

brewsters got his very last chance with us this season thats for sure but you never know 3 or 4 early season goals might just get him off and running

Would love to see Brewster ignite- but my monies on out again after 3-4 games. He's a crock I'm afraid.

Unfortunately the odds are against him.

I do think if he could get fit and stay fit he’d bang them in. So far he seems to spend a few weeks getting up to speed. Have a few games where he looks decent and then gets injured again and the process repeats 12 months later.

Can’t see him being here beyond his deal tbh. He’ll either get released after another injury ravaged season or hell bag a few and get an offer from elsewhere.

I would have preferred McBurnie to stay and Brewster to go.
Don’t imagine many would have wanted to pay much for him - unless he brought his nurse with him.

I think McBurnie would have been class this season with Hamer/Blaster/O’hare/Burrows/Rak-Sakyi servicing him.

Plus he’s a senior pro who ‘got the fans’

Was sad to see him go

We should be going all in for this lad on a permanent.

I'm more concerned that we only have one senior striker than I am the goalkeeper situation! I can't see Campbell playing up top on his own. Guessing the Tom Cannon signing is the one to offer competition for Moore.

I'm not saying we don't want another striker in, I'd definitely like one more.

I'm disagreeing with the comment that we only have one senior striker, because it's factually incorrect.

IF Rhian's hamstrings hold up, he'll be an asset this season. With a run of games will come confidence.
You don't just lose the ability that he had previously.

Moore has missed more games than RB has pre-season because of injury.
Moore is going to pick up injuries through the season just because of how he plays. He'll pick up plenty of knocks.

By the looks of it, Campbell will be signing, who has played through the middle before (he's better on the wing though).
I've a feeling we'll be keeping Marsh around for that reason (although personally I'd rather see him go out on loan to League 1).

As it stands:
1. Moore
2. Brewster
3. Either Campbell moved through the middle or Marsh filling in.

Hoping I look stupid in an hour or so but I doubt we are signing cooper. Our talks began a long time ago, you would think if it was to do with funding we would have been ready to pull the trigger immediately following osula.
