He's like Gibbs-White. Good if he can be arsed. Had a good season on loan at Stoke. Never really made an impression at Wolves. He's been labelled as a bit arrogant and lazy in training. I thought at the time they'd over-paid but he's been great for them and value for money in the modern climate.

Forest paid a lot for MGW, but looking at the current Wolves squad I'd say he'd genuinely be their best player after Pedro Neto and maybe Hwang. So I'm not sure they wouldn't take him back if they had the opportunity.

I get the impression they like the media team to film interviews/photoshoots etc before they announce. I'd imagine the player has more important things to do at the minute. Get settled in Sheffield, meet the team, start training for the new season etc. They probably wait until the player has a gap in his schedule to do these things so might take a couple of days.

Maybe they don’t want to announce we’ve just paid £3m+ for a full back when negotiations are ongoing with others as the price will go up overnight if other clubs think we have money. Best to peddle the “we’re skint, frees and loans only” mantra.
