We have not one championship standard player in the entire squad.

Maybe a bit harsh on one or two, particularly the younger lads who may well go on to prove their worth.

But this tells its own story.

Maybe starting to think that admin is the best option or I can see a further spiralling of our already decaying club :(

get off the fence and tell us what you really think dronnie! not one championship player?
a lot of folks thought that last yr till we got rid off quinn, lowton, williamson.

i agree that we need to strengthen if we go up

:(

Don't agree. Murphy,Miller,Long,Maguire and KMac could play as that level...as for the rest they are probably at the right level

There's not a player in the whole league who I think would excel in the championship. Ordinary division, of which we are a good but not great side.

And im willing to bet they will all leave next season of we dont go up.

We simply MUST achieve promotion this year or i think Admin may be here next year.

I agree with Bartman. Hard to tell with Murphy though with him being played out of position.

All of the rest of the top 6 have showed it that you only need one or two to get anywhere in this league.

don't disagree with you re sales. Will will not go into admin as McCabe is the only(or vast majority creditor). He will not put us in admin and potential not get back 85% of his debt. What he will do is keep cutting the wage bill and if we go up,it won't go up by much

I must add that I think MacFadzean,Whitehouse and Ironside have the potential and i don't think can be judged at this stage. I hope they get a game at Crewe and next Satdi

Apart from Long they all need to leave next season IF WE GO UP

What's the truth, he claims £1M/month investment, that's some wage bill?

We've got plenty of players who could make up the numbers in the Championship. What we haven't got is the match winners - the ones who make the others look much better. The ones that will cost the money.

Who claims £1milion a month wage bill...McCabe said he is pumping £1million a month into the club to support it ...whether this is true is debateable

Where else do we spend money?

Own the ground [or mccabe does]
Buy sand for the pitch [£1M/month?]
Pay caterers [£1M/month?]
Hotels/travel [£1M/month?]

There is nothing to debate. The accounts show we have lost £24m over the last two years. £1m a month has to be injected to keep the club a float.

Funds required not just to pay wages, but all other costs and overheads.

I think McCabe will have to convert some of his loans to equity (shares) otherwise we will show net liabilities in the next accounts.

Promotion this year was crucial from a financial point of view. Failure will cost McCabe more and more...........

It does not look good from a financial, or for that matter a footballing perpsective at all.

A company can make big losses and require no extra cash injection to keep it running. It can even still be generating excess cash. It's about depreciation of valuations of assets. What's more, previous accounts should not reflect where we are now. We have lost the vast majority of high earners - the big cost for any football club.

The most likely scenario is that McCabe was shooting from the hip under pressure, or talking about servicing the debt owed to himself, which is a bit different.

Admin is a dirty word, and should be avoided at all costs. But the position we are in goes way beyond Admin, except for the -10 points. Admin is for clubs that are badly run. Our £1M every month deficit, and debt of £20M/£30M/£50M (whatever it is) is different. KM will save us from Admin, by keeping us in this constant state of financially chaotic free-falling. I'd rather be in Admin and free of the parasites and give the football league 10 points back, but alas, we have a heroic saviour who'll keep us out of it. Gutted!

Sand, pies and travel of course. Businesses don't have to pay for anything else; just like individuals. Just to give two examples of dozens of obvious ones, lighting and heating is free.

A good point sarcastically made, but on a similar theme, there are other sources of money than McCabe. We have had a few people (well, over 400,000 people) attend games at the Lane this season. I assume that not all of them got in for free.

Similarly, Matthew Lowton and Nick Blackman used to play for us, and we were given big cheques (of uncertain size, naturally) so they could go and play somewhere else.

1 million a month shortfall? Don't make me laugh.

I know them bulbs are big and Tuesday nights the ground looks great on match day but £1M/month 'leccy bill, come on? Even if the bill is £1M/year for the add ons like pies/sand and 'leccy that still leaves £11M to piss on wages.

teams that win the play offs have ended the season being mediocre at best , huddersfield
lost 3 and drew 1 of their last 5 last season so we are in good play off form

sorry but i don't believe this wage bill guff. half of the team are ex academy and their wages will reflect as such.. unless of course doyle, flynn, porter and collins are on Prem. wages..

sureely not.. you're joking??!!

Does this mark the official end of this years' Comical Ali style "shut up moaners we are going to go up automatically" campaign?

we've been crap all season.. i'm only going to the Preston game in the vain hope that i'll run into the c**t who i had a massive argument with after the Yeovil debacle.. 'yeah but we're still second'. my arse.
