We made mistakes with their goals but overall i reckon we played some good stuff. A shame we had to make subs for the lads who went off with cramp as i'm sure we had a great chance to win the game and it upset our rhythm.
We will be fine.
Play like that and we’ll be hard to beat. Thought Forest were lucky in the end

Massive improvement for me that performance, I feel a lot more positive than I did Saturday. Get a couple of players in, drop max lowe, players back from injury and I think we can start picking up points after the City game.

The problem I have is that it’s “fine margins” all over again. If there was one lesson we learned from 2020/21 it’s that hard work and organisation but no magic gets you a one-goal defeat. Same in 1993/94 and 2006/07.
Great that Hamer showed that we are capable of bits of magic then.

I’m far more optimistic after that tonight if I’m honest.

The defining moment was them bringing on experienced premier league players and us being forced to bring on players who should be out on loan in the Championship/League One.

Thats where we are unfortunately. There might be good things to come but if we go down by a couple of points then these first two games are what we will look back at.

I thought that sort of performance deserved a point.

Of course stats will be in favour of the home team. You don't expect to go away and dominate teams.

An away performance involves digging in, looking for your moments and pouncing on your chances.

The turning point was the mistake that led to Traore through on goal. He had time. He could have even looked to get closer and even try to go round the keeper. Be chose the wrong option. He made him make a save but if that was 2-1 they'd have been shitting themselves. The atmosphere would have changed and we'd have had a shot of adrenaline.

Excellent from Hamer and Souza with Traore and Larouci looking better. Plenty of positives from the new signings.

Hopefully some of the injuries will clear up and with a few more quality signings we might just be ok.

I'd say a shambles in the first half until 30 minutes in when Hamer and Souza suddenly woke up. We went in to the break deservedly behind due to the first 30 minutes and the woeful defending at the start.

After the break we more than matched them and had as many shots on target as they did, despite them having more shots overall. We equalised and deservedly so and a draw would have been a fair result at the final whistle

A poor finish by Traore and more woeful defending saw us give up the deserved point. That said £180mil Forest didn't do too much convincingly in the second half until we brought on Basham, Hackford and Brooks. For them to only find the winner when we weakened our team thanks to injuries and more poor defending doesn't say much about them.

Sadly the lack of options and quality on the bench will hurt us throughout the season as we lack depth in our squad largely due to number of injuries which we keep picking up.

Did alright but 90% of the league would have beat forest tonight. Got Spurs, Newcastle and City in the next 3 out of 4 games so that will be more insight to where we are.

Played well, consid we went down early doors. Could have easily imploded. Grew into the game. We are still 3/4 players shy of competing. 2nd half we've brought on Bash and 2 u23s. Hecky needs the backing he deserves.

Let's hope we don't go down by a few points otherwise we can look back and and think if only!!!!!!!

It was a good save more than anything I thought. If he took it any further I think the defender gets back anyway. Got the shot away in the right area. Good save
I was at the match in Forest end, 100% should have gone closer and finished.

But come on this was light years better than Palace match, we just ran out of steam simple as.

The positives were easy to see..

Hamer/ Souza/ Bene - all were good

Folk thinking McB better than Osula , completely wrong he was good, stick with him , he can run and was strong.

Osborn, Norwood, Anel all decent.

Expected to get pasted, didn't carried it to them second half- and they were shitting it.

We will be fine.

I thought we played very well. We just didn’t have the bench to cope with players going off injured.

First half 3-1 scabs
Second half was more like us
We need 4 bodies , that was the difference
We bought on U21’s ( very good for that age group )
As soon as they bought on Woods it was only going to go 1 way high & handsome
Concentrate on Everton as the start of our season
But much happier even though we lost

Nah, it's all shit apparently, every single thing, and we won't get a single point.

Seriously, I agree with you.

No pal you can say we were alright..

But (yeah you knew) the time is ticking away, to the new fans and old, we should never lose sight of how hard it is to escape the bottom three after 5 games..

A bad start takes the best teams and managers down, to quote (old twat alert) forest under clough will surely never go down!

Ps: love to be wrong, please bookmark for later on when were in top 4.
