That's if it's even going to cost that much, it seems oddly specific that he would put that £15 million would be an exact price rather than something like £12 - 15 million which is what we often see in news like this.
 
It won't be £15m unless he hits a shit load of add ons and we stay up. Coventry are able to get better prices for Gyokores and Hamer because several clubs are/were after them. We've done well to get £12m for Berge with no fuckers other than Burnley interested (for good reason ♥️🫛)

Wasn't Gyokores on a longer contract than Hamer.
 
Shouldn't even think twice about this, if the only reason we're selling players like Berge and Ndiaye is because we don't want them to go for free - not because we're desperate for the cash - then we should immediately be saying yep no worries, we'll stump up for Hamer. Because then he's our player for 3/4 years minimum.
 
Deals like this make would make perfect sense. And help with the sale of the club.

Replacing assets with decreasing valuation with ones with secure 3, 4 year contracts.

Only problem is, getting the deals done.

Everything I've seen says he's in the last 12 months of his contract, if he has signed a new one and that is his release clause it's a very steep one for a championship club that haven't been in the premier league for years.
 
Would be a fantastic signing this. One I think everyone could get behind and get the fans back on side. If we’re serious in staying up we should put a serious offer in, not pussy foot around like we have been doing.
 
If we nab him off them then I'll finally feel I can let go of the pitch invasion and whistles match back in league 1.

Totally, a Ndiaye and Berge swap (1 year leave for free) for Souza and Hamer (3-4yr contracts) makes perfect sense. Add in a player like Palmer or McAtee on loan with Doye on a permanent and things start to look a whole lot better
 
Been wanting this lad in ever since the Boxing Day game when he was the 2nd best (behind Ndiaye) on the pitch, can’t see it though unfortunately
