It's our long association with the Dutch national team, providing such greats as err... Laurens ten Heuvel?

Wasn't sure after looking at pixelated stills, but after seeing it in the video, it's a big no from me.

Also, did they get a group of toddlers to make the video? It's terrible!

After saying its horrible im starting to come round to it. There is a clearer picture in the stir today

Looks like something a team in the pub league would wear..................... oh wait on ! absolutely awful

I would give my child's left testicle for this:

Now those are sweet, someone send them in.....who was it that was involved in the last Le-Cock kit, (Burnley play-off final kit) from here, based it roughly round a similar adidas kit, maybe he could get involved again? Was it NorthantsBlade....?

The diagonal stripes would've been better if one was red and the other white.

Couldn't agree more. A 3rd kit being a white one with red/black stripes could also be brought in to the equation.

The stripe style and positioning could be different but I do think our kits should be variations on red, white and black as these are the club colours. Despite the 1990 lumo kit being somewhat iconic all the nods to it in subsequent designs have been horrid.

Carrying on with the mid-70s theme, we could've had this and a corresponding black version.

Very smart designs from Tarquin. I do approve, tens times better than current kit.

I also think that shirts should evolve and each new version should pay some homage to the previous and historical club colours. Last year our away kit was "high viz" yellow/green, yet this year we have orange/black - what next....................

Blue and white stripes?

Arghhhhhhhhh HH

No! I didn't design those, I got them from the site in SotonBlade's link. But they're exactly what I would have done if I had taken the time to make some. Right down to the kit manufacturer.

Apologies if my shortening of the word Chinese caused any offence none was intended.

I must remember to complain to the media when the next Brit awards come round. :rolleyes:

Shifted some off topic stuff out of this thread in the interests of staying on topic and within the rules of the forum.

Can I politely remind, that we've always had a zero tolerance attitude towards racism and any terms which can be deemed so are therefore off limits, no matter how "innocently" used.

A thread in General Blades Chat on the forum isn't the place to be discussing the ins and outs of terms used for a race/nationality, should any concerns arise about any such terms being used, as always, posts should be reported.

Thankfully, we have a responsible community and therefore this isn't something we really have to bring up, but as a matter of clarity for new members and those that may be unsure - Racism = immediate ban.

I'm a bit late in joining in on this one, but having seen pictures of the players on the official site I think the new away kit with the diagonal stripe is appalling. Did the designer grow up as a Thunderbirds fan?

In the flesh so to speak it doesnt look too bad BUT and its a big BUT what colour is the stripe supposed to be? Its not orange and its not red. If its supposed to be red then it should have been the same red as the home shirt and if its orange then it should be the same as Hollands shirt
