The player has distinctive pace and a decent record when it comes to finishing. I was pleased when he signed on loan for us at the start of this season.
However, his style of play and ability to adapt those skills to the clubs style of play has limited his starting opportunities.
It is a fact that his preferred starting position is bettered by a number of players who are more adaptable and skillful than he is.
Given his personal style of play and a lack of flexibility, he is not likely to dictate changes to the clubs overall approach to the game. (Any version of 5-3-2).

He needs to understand that football at most levels is a team/squad game, and he needs to adapt to fit in, not the other way around. He may or may not get the opportunity to show his undoubted skills over the next half of the season.
Unless he can adapt his game, he is unlikely to feature outside his best opportunities, which remain coming on as a sub, late on, so his pace and finishing skills can expose a tiring defence.

He has his place in the squad and it’s up to him to exploit that. Until now, he has only done that once, against Swansea.

He was brilliant in a cameo against Sunderland too. Similar to how he played against us for Blackburn. The only recurring theme I can think of is that both times the opposition was down to 10 men.

That probably just reinforces my opinion of his status as a Blades squad player. It’s a useful tool to have him come on late against a tiring defence, with his pace and finishing skills.

At the moment, he is unlikely to replace Ndiaye or Berge, as a starter when they are all fit to start.

I’m a bit pissed off tonight on two things.

Stick him out wide and give him the ball to his feet and let him be a threat, we saw this threat for 5 minutes only, the reason it was only 5 minutes is we stopped passing to him or even going down the left flank, it was continually moved out to the right time and time again, to bash, illiman and even Sharp to try and do something with, baffling.

Second point is he did a cross and it went straight to the keeper, McB and Billy went crazy, McB fuming jumping up and down while Billy went mad and went and booted the goal post. Literally just two minutes before Norwood had a free kick 30 yards out, to the right of goal, all the players are in the box for the cross, absolutely abysmal cross that he floats straight out for a goal kick, not one player said a word to him.

Can’t be any good for his confidence. There is a player there in Khadra even a bit part sub player but for some reason he seems to be on a loser with us.

Given 10mins yet again & in that time looked the only player who was willing to run at there back line and take a player on . How in gods fkg name McAtee gets more game time than him is a mystery !
As for balls into the box name me any other player in the 80 mins that put one decent ball into the box tonight ?

And that same free kick Khadra moved to the right and had space for a short free kick to be played to
Him

So was every cross from every player including the one two minutes before which I highlighted but the tantrums for those crosses were none existent, only Khadras got a tantrum.
Maybe if khadra was statistcally the highest performer in the division with three promotions and a cupboard full of international caps he might get a free pass when he has an off night

Think id go Khadra off NDiaye on Saturday. No point playing Billy he’s an absolute waste of time at the moment, completely immobile

Agree with many here, Khadra came in and made things happen. For any questioning his attitude I think that’s your answer as he just looked to get on the ball at every chance.

Game was crying out for him early doors. Shame he only got 10 minutes ish. Thought he did more in that 10 minutes than some of them did all game.

Such a predictable response to last night
Macatee was far more effective than khadra last night but hes getting wrote off and yet another litany of excuses trotted out for the modern day john francis because people get excited when someone runs fast

Has nothing to do with it as well you know, it was terrible crosses and terrible balls all night long from every player, no bad attitude or tantrums towards any player with any bad ball, up steps the scapegoat with a cross to the keeper and it’s tantrums. We are talking about a player very low in confidence who was our only bright spark when he came on, a player who needs not only the fans but the players onside with him more than ever. You clearly think this is fine and will come out with statistics and international caps to try and justify the responses to him then there is nothing to talk about, your not having him at all and would kick a post like a baby also.

Khadra beat his man a few times and whipped some dangerous balls into the box. One nearly produced a goal.

I wasn't as down on McAtee's performance as others but what did he do that you thought was effective, over and above Khadra?
