Nar den. Good werent it. Few points:

- Ndiaye is absolutely quality. 9/10 performance. Hope one of the Watford lot remembered to get Cresswell out of his back pocket before they got back on the coach.

- Norwood shouldn't be on set pieces.

- Berge was very good.

- Ahmedhodzic with a brilliant debut. Couldn't really ask much more.

All in all a relatively easy win against a half decent outfit with, arguably, our 2 best, highest rated players on the bench, Khadra and McAtee. To enable us to get them in the side, I'd put Norwood on the bench, and play Berge alongside Fleck. We're still 1 CDM signing short, but this would just about do, and Berge can still get forward. Then it's Ndiaye, McAtee and Khadra just behind Brewster

I don’t get the Norwood theme of late, yeh he missed a pen but he’s very good in the middle of the park. We’d miss him.

Apart from missing the pen and giving the ball away with blind passes about half a dozen times he was great....🙄....how he stayed on the pitch for the full 90 I will never know.

Weird, fleck was worse on Monday and he played full 90.

Sure hecky sees different games

There were a number of stray passes today

The thing is with Norwood is that he’s usuall heavily involved with passing the ball around and has been at times excellent, so when he has a very mediocre game which includes numerous stray passes, it just seems more noticeable to us plebs sat in the stand

Norwood, like the team, was quality for about 35 minutes. The he, and the team, went off the boil. Obviously it was fine, we kept Millwall at arm's length throughout, but it's noticeable that even now we only really play well when Norwood does.

Norwood is good when he has time, like today, but under pressure not so.
Also, too many blind passes that go to the opposition.

Hé did make some wayward passes but half of them were when he shows to get the ball off someone under-pressure, he himself then had 2 men on him so fired it down the line.
Works sometimes and others it doesn’t, but it saved us losing possession in the wrong area.
His best passes are the short ones working us from the back up the pitch but they don’t catch the eye.
He has his limitations but for me he’s got to play.

I disagree, everyone misplaces passes from time to time, but the option he gives to his team mates on the ball is a massive plus to how we keep so much possession. For every pass he misplaced he must’ve made 5 more complete passes. I’ve criticised him in the past for being weak as piss under Wilder and losing it that ended up giving a goal away but he seems to have addressed that….on the whole. We deffo miss him when not in the team.

Norwood had 10 mins where he got complacent and missed the pen. But other than that was ok. Fleck had a better game.

Anel MoM

The next 3 were

N’Diaye
Berge
Clark

Really impressed with the defence though, Millwall had the possession in the second but didn’t do anything, played like a brick wall.

Probably not the game for McAtee and Khadra, if Norwood scores the pen then I’d expect them on.

Jebbison and Brewster to start against WBA. Id live the four of them to play ideally, get Bash back in and have a look at Arblaster, might be too early for Doyle.

The defence looks great though, that wouldn’t be a clean sheet last season, but we didn’t even hold on. Just defended.

Hecky gets a 9. Difficult missing a pen before half-time as it gives some hope, but we should’ve been like the globetrotters second half, plenty of Ole’ing etc. just one of those things that changes the complexity of the game.

Berge controlled that 1st half it was him that was spraying the ball to feet, instead of just putting it into an area where you hope someone can get on the end of it. He is over his injury and looks fit just need to hang onto him.

I hope those who dare to say Norwood had a bloody good game have the nerve to say it on the "My Take" SuperEgo Forum!

Actually Ndiaye who was superb gave it away lost it
7 times yet he was great
The way we set up we can’t play without Norwood and I bet nobody covered more ground that him again today - maybe Berg
