Genuinely can't see how anyone can criticise him on today's performance.

There's certainly a lot to like about him, but I wasn't impressed by his decision making. Several occasions he either played the wrong pass, held onto it for too long or shot when someone was in space.
Looks like the exact opposite of Sharp.

He was ok. Some of the things he tried (a couple of backheels) could be viewed as ‘genius’ or ‘shit’ though depending on how you view things. He’s quick at least. Something we lack elsewhere.

Calling him class right now is just fantasy, you just want it to be true.

He played well though, i think he definitely adds something to our attack.

I think McBurnie is exactly the player we should pair up with Burke. I think Burke has shown that he could thrive with an out and out striker at the side of him.

Him and McBurnie definitely worth a go. McGoldrick didnt play well today so why not.

He has raw pace. Great. I'd like to see him get in better positions. He doesn't actually get on the ball that much and that's down to positioning.

I've not see anything yet that says class. Remember, working hard is a minimum at SUFC.

It makes sense. They are the classic pairing of a target man who can hold the ball up and pacey striker with good feet.

People get slated for writing a player off after 2 games, but apparently you can call a striker class after less than two games without having a shot.

He's probably done more in those 2 games creatively than the whole of strike force in the last 5. Lets face it to rise above the current standard is not hard. Score a winning goal against Arsenal and he will be a hero.

Is moose back training ? Noticed him stood around in the latest shirecliffe video

Stood around on crutches in one picture.

Tbf he's not supposed to be like Sharp. He's not a striker.

I though first half he looked a threat with his pace and willingness to chase and run with the ball. Decision making at the end not the strongest but more of a threat Than any of the others

Depends what context. Class as in better than others at other teams? No. Class as in he does something no other player does for us? Yes.

Thats not class though. Thats just offers something different

Seems to love a backheel, shame our players were never expecting them.

I was quite pleased when we signed him, but what I’ve seen from him so far has exceeded my expectations (mainly due to work-rate)

Our best chance came from him setting off like a fucking missile at Ayling, who quite rightly shat-himself and gave the ball away.

I doubt he’ll score many goals, as the only thing he has lacking seems to be composure, but even if Robbo scores more this season I’d still feel it was the right deal for us as well as them on current evidence.

United look a lot more balanced outfit with him in the team, which is not to say he's an outstanding footballer or even a long term option. The Jury is very much out. If you put any of our fit strikers next to him our system, strikers, and ultimately team will look better. It's the same with Moose: is he one of our best players - probably not. Is he one of our most important - definitely.

I'm pleasantly surprised by how good he is
I was expecting Forrest Gump, but we seem to have quite a good player and works his bollocks off

Be nice to see if he can put goals away, if we actually could create chances for our strikers

Not to slag him off, but I felt he made a few poor decisions yesterday. Most notably when he took a shot on himself when McGoldrick was wide open. Fine margins in this division and he needs to have better vision in certain scenarios. If he starts picking out passes at the right times then he's going to be fucking brilliant for us.

I echo the sentiments of those who want to see him and McBurnie play together.

I think he might create more goals than he scores but I like him so far. Perhaps we are seeing glimpses of why he was highly rated.

I suspect Callum Robinson has already exceeded Burke's goals output for this season.

He does good things but in terms of goals has had one blocked shot so far. He's also less use than he should be if McGoldrick is 10 to 15 yards behind him. He needs people in the box to be of use.

If we are starting him in every game the other forward will need to score double figures. There is no player who can do that on our books.

He has great vision with some of the balls he puts through, pity we cant get on the end of it and slot it home. Quite like him. Could be one of those to watch when he finds his shooting boots.

Also a bit off topic but did Lundstram look pissed off when he was subbed. He said something to one of the staff as he walked to the stand they just shrugged their shoulders.
That's not like unhappystram

I haven't formed an opinion either way yet but this thread seems a bit mad.
I agree looks the part but his scoring history is not good so the jury is still out .We will reserve judgement ,everyone deserves a chance hope he takes it .

I absolutely don’t care that he’s gone. But for Heckingbottom to say nobody leaves until we get bodies in then we sell Burke confuses me a little bit?

Hopefully it frees up wages to start getting players in
