Forest bid for MGW

Can't say that's surprising and probably would fit well. My main concern if I was him would be about getting game time. Would Cooper forefront the team that's got them there and use MGW as sub to bring on and up the game perhaps?

Just like Hendo - I've absolutely no issue with them wanting bigger and better things but it would be sad to see a talent benched and not allowed to grow. At one point there were mentions of Hendo being England's number 1, now I couldn't even tell you last time he played.

No way that he wouldn't start for them, replaces Zinckernagel. Annoys me how much sense it makes

Think Wolves will have him around to at least to January and see where they are at then unless they get a crazy bid they can't turn down. They clearly rate him as it sounds like they were interested in having him back in Jan 2022.

If he does go to Forest, good luck to him and Cooper seems a decent manager but there is also a strong chance he's playing back in the Championship in 23-24.

20 million, got to be a joke. Heard West Ham want 100 mill for Declan no skill Rice.

It would be a sickener if he went to Forest. But why would Wolves want to sell him and for £20 million? They are not short of funds. I've no doubt Cooper wants him. But Wolves are a better bet for MGW or else an established PL side.

He’d be daft to IMO. He’s an ambitious lad and surely he’s seen the likes of Gallagher and Bowen getting called up for England. He won’t get that scrapping at the bottom of PL.

I think it’d be a good move for him, first team guaranteed in the premiership and may be a relegation clause (although these are becoming less prominent) in todays market I think it’ll be more money perhaps it’s Forest‘s opening gambit.

Totally agree, if I were him I’d think I could do much better

No skill Rice, seriously. MGW is worshiped by us but is nowhere near the talent this bloke has.

I think ‘no skill’ is a bit harsh

But £100m - seriously??

for £10m more you can have
Haaland £56m
Mane £35m
Thiago £20m

Are we putting Rice in the same price bracket as Salah & Kane = £100m

He’s good, but not that good.

Just being English seems to double their value, despite English players being so good that teams abroad rarely show interest in them. I can remember how funny Stewart Downing being valued at £15mil was at the time, and Andy Carroll at £35mil!!! 🤣

English players in the Premier League are massively over rated by the English. The rest of the world doesn't view them as world class, and haven't done since the Lampard/Ferdinand/Gerrard generation was around. Even then no one outside England wanted them.

Transfer fees are massively over priced just because they're English. Once they're capped once they're forever known as England striker or former England striker even if that's the only cap they received. Think of the former diving little twat, Andy Johnson at Palace!

£20mil is about right. Liverpool signed Salah for £36.5mil and Sane for £34mil.

It makes our fees for Brewster and McBurnie seem even worse in comparison.

But if you think back to when we were after Brewster and McBurnie.
Almost every Blade was saying 25 mil is a bargain because he'll be worth 50 mil in a few years.
I even say plenty go Blades say...."we've been bartering for too long long, just pay him whatever he wants".
Apparently he was the new Michael Owen and massively rated at Liverpool....their fans were pissed off he was sold.

Also McBurnie was a top performer at Championship level, great gold scorer who could also set them up.
Again our fans insisted he would be an excellent buy at 20 mil, still young with a chance to improve.
