Just looked and Boro now 3-0 up v Stoke so GD now only 1 worse than ours. If they win last game and we only draw against Fulham then we are level on points and so goes to GD. That unfortunate "slip" that gave them a goal might be crucial.

Every missed chance and every defensive error is the same. Wes's error isn't anything in particular.

Fuck me, we haven't even fucked it up yet, and people are looking for scapegoats.

i think blackburn was the biggest slip up olsen couldnt catch a cold and we were fucking awful but yeah blame a game where we dominated for 90 mins

I'm not attaching any blame to Wes who as others have said has been outstanding. I was simply pointing out the possible irony that they went to play offs only because of getting a very fortuitous goal against us due to him slipping.

It's a bit like the relegation from the prem when Unsworth scored the penalty for Wigan against us having missed 2 penalties when playing for us v Blackburn earlier on in the season.

And not any of the other goals we conceded over the whole season??

Your title didn't sound at all "ironic"
It sounded like an accusation

If we want to be more complete....

piss poor pre season
nonsense manager appointment if we had no budget
injuries

..... have cost us what should have been a promotion

Yes but even.ruling that out and looking at heckya reign exclusively we have still shot ourselves in.the foot at key moments especially recently and if we miss out on the play offs we can have no real complaints

I am more likely to pin it on the slow start to the season. A bag of points thrown away then.

What are you on about Wes Slip 🤣 🤣 🤣 😂 😂

What about the whole team v reading or Blackpool never turned up , we have dropped so many points in the last minutes, but you know what no matter what happens, the team has done well , with all the injuries change of manager to be in this position is outstanding, and like some have said on here IT AINT OVER YET !!!

No budget is an interesting narrative which is being thrown around as an excuse for Slav.
I’d love to see the wages/fees we paid for our loans and offered for others, like the wingers from Man Utd or Barca.
Only Gibbs-White has delivered but he will have cost a small fortune and did we get value for money on Olsen, Davies and Hourihane? What was the amount wasted?
We kept most of the major players and invested in expensive loans at significant cost. It’s not all about signings and I reckon there’s a conservative £10m there on wages/fees.

If anything , it was the Reading game. A proper head shaking result.
Whole team at fault.
Yeah, maybe. Lots of what ifs .
But, as in life, we are where we are. Absolutely no point in looking back and pondering those things.

We can only control what's in front of us now. All that matters is what we do on the pitch and in the stands on Saturday.
It's going to be a cracker.
