Crikey. Remind me not to go to Middlesbrough if I need cheering up.

I don’t know where he will go. He has bought poorly with big money.

And WBA decided not to offer him the job.

Hopefully a sugar daddy buys Boro just after they sign CW
Then he sanctions a £70m raid for Brewster, Mousse, McB and Burke

On a serious note reading it back, how much would we get in JTW for those 4?

Brewster - £7m
Mouse - £2m
McB - £6m
Burke £2m

That would represent around a 70% loss

CW ain’t getting in a top 10 PL side, even the likes of Palace and Southampton would go for a bigger name

Maybe Newcastle, if that happens please Amazon, get your ā€˜all or nothing’ crews into the meeting between Charnley, Ashley and CW when he demands his transfer targets are bought……

Thanks Roy,

Yeah I can see CW demanding a war chest for transfers, it'll have been the same when he walked into the Halifax, Oxford and Northampton jobs, ditto when he started at the Lane. Shame he can't manage at clubs that are potless!!

I thought he'd end up at Sunderland but yeah the Boro job would be a good fit for CW.

I think if wilder is holding out for a prem job he’ll be waiting a long time. I don’t think there’s many prem clubs where his face would fit so to speak and there’s even less that aren’t currently either happy with the incumbent manager or philosophically not going in very different directions to wilder.
Only realistic option would be Burnley, but they would have to be in serious relegation trouble before they sack Dyche, question is then could CW keep them up & would he fancy a relegation battle?
Dyche, according to the media was always on the Palace/West ham 'shortlist' not looking likely either of those will sack their managers anytime soon, anyone else having a bad season, Wolves, Southampton etc can't see them calling on CW.

They obviously feel physically threatened now nutter Norwood is back taking no prisoners in the middle of the park.

Think wilder would only be considered for the Burnley job in the prem if dyche was poached but he faces the same face fitting issue as wilder. If Burnley get relegated they’d be mad not to give dyche a few years at it in the championship.

I agree, thats why I can't see Dyche getting poached, Palace and West Ham moved on from the idea of steadying a sinking ship mentality, Burnleys new owners might not be very patient if they are in or around the bottom 3, then again if they did sack Dyche, they aren't likely to take his advice on his replacement, then again the applicants for the job might not be a very long list, relegation battle, club in debt, club/town image, and following Dyche

Wilder to Middlesbrough would make an awful lot of sense. Wouldn't be surprised by that at all.

Warnock always gets a good reception from me. Gave me some fantastic times as a teenager following United. Not always the easiest football on the eye, but his team's weren't soft and went to the end.

I think it is much more likely that Boro will be the team doing the bullying with Warnock in charge. I expect a lot of hoof to play for throw in's to launch into our penalty box along with lot of crosses and high balls. I can see these doing a West Brom on us but without the quality 2-0 Boro if we are not very careful and on it.

Hope somebody mixes a bit of Fiery Jack in with his Sudocreme. šŸ˜³šŸ„µšŸ˜¤šŸ¤’

🤣 🤣 šŸ‘

ā€œIt’s only a little thing, but I’m getting sick of him saying he can’t pronounce the names of anyone slightly foreign sounding.
It’s lazy and borderline offensive.
Ikpeazu is not hard to say.
Lea-Siliki is not hard to say.
Jokanovic isn’t hard to sayā€
Is that about Warnock, or Roygbiv on bladespod? šŸ˜‰

Thanks Roy! Well, they're a cheerful fucking bunch aren't they?
That said, we'll beat them tomorrow so it'll make them even more miserable.
Old Neil hanging on in there at Boro, and looking disturbingly more and more like someone's elderly auntie every year.

I honestly thought old Neil would have got them up in his time there. It has to be said he's got a great record for getting out of the championship. Must have lost his touch.

A difficult character to some of those that worked with him but always some great memories. Lol that game at Millwall when Muscat got sent off with the cameras in the dressing room šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

How would I feel if we won and Warnock got the bullet, ending his career with a defeat to the Blades?

Probably similar to what lifelong Blades fan Neil said when asked how he felt about our relegation to League 1, "I couldn't give a fuck"

They're all expecting a loss, so it'll be anything but. 1-1.

Agree…I also think it’ll be a 1-1 draw…..then we’ll go and win away at AFC Bournmouth
It does seem as though if Warnock loses tonight then we could be the club that ends his management career.

Aye
So, the ā€œserious noteā€ is owt but - we won’t be selling at your ā€˜valuation’
  • no point taking such a hit on McB & Brew,
  • no chance of getting (that) money for Mousse
