A cash injection? The club are not in a bad place finance-wise. They are just feeling the impact of a very slow moving market to enable SJ to make his chosen changes to the unbalanced squad he inherited.

It's ok not being in a bad place finance-wise, not so good when you're in a bad place squad-wise.
I'm sure it'll all come good, just very frustrating. Blades tinted glasses off, that is one hell of a missed opportunity for Rammers too, he'll be gutted.

I, for one, do not want the Board to buckle and accept offers that heavily undervalues players' values such as the one Arsenal made for Ramsdale, which incidentally was a long, long way off the £25m figure you mentioned previously.
Of course, I'm sure the club would be open to a degree of negotiation on the stated asking prices, particularly with up front payments and the amounts both guaranteed and linked to performance/achievements. However, simply buckling and accepted ridiculously low offers is just throwing value away.
The key decision for the Board is regarding the dependency between generating funds through sales and recruitment, given the unbalanced and still bloated squad that SJ inherited in what is a very slow moving market and whether they're willing/able to de-couple the two and invest in new players prior to sales being made (as they appear to be doing with Viera) and avoiding the potential worst case scenario of needing a firesale.

Bank balance wise I agree. However, I'm not convinced Arsenal is the right club for him. Leno will be around for another 12 months min, he's likely to at least start as second choice behind him and Arsenal aren't in a great place with Arteta already under pressure and the squad looking miles behind those of the clubs they seem to think they're on the same level as.

Arsenal are fucked until there’s a clear out at executive level. There won’t be like so long as the money keeps rolling in but whilst ever their transfer policy is to sign friends and clients of one particular agent supplemented with young players from elsewhere even though they’re happy to let their own youngsters leave for buttons they won’t progress.

Giving Aubemyang that contract showed who they are. He's reliant on athleticism and 32. He's got previous for being extremely relaxed once he gets a new deal........

Over the last few years you could easily present an argument that Leicester have replaced Arsenal as a consistent threat for a place in the top 4/6, and made better signings and sales

You don’t rate the lad, fair enough, and you have to point it out continually but now you’re happy to try and perpetuate a story that he’s gutted he has to stay.
You’re wrong about him, and one thing that can no longer be doubted is his mentality, but you aren’t going to change your mind and will continue to snipe at any misstep or mistake he makes. I just think using that claim in a further attempt to undermine him shows poor form on your behalf.

Spot on Pal, think some of our fans have been hypnotised by McCabe for that many years it's the done thing to be shit on with other clubs.
 
Apologies if this has already been said as I don't have time to read through all the recent pages. But I do think this so called "breakdown" in negotiations is a ploy by Arsenal. We've heard from multiple sources that Aaron has no plans to push the deal through but we'd be daft to think he wouldn't jump at it for a stature of club such as Arsenal. I believe this is a ploy to change Aaron's view on it by talks intentionally falling to a halt by massively missing our valuation. Think about it. Get to personal terms agreed as has been claimed in the media which leads our brokers to believe Arsenal are serious and will hit close to our valuation only to at the last minute after personal terms are agreed to mess us about and offer an amount no where close. That way Aaron might get frustrated with us as we get blamed for it *somehow. He then tries to push it through a bit more maybe? Who knows. I'm just spit balling but I don't think this is the last we'll hear of this.

i agree arsenal are playing a bluffing game saying theyve moved on to other targets when in effect their trying to get the united board to panic and accept their offer eventually plus possibly upsetting rammy in the process 30m whether its cash or with add ons should be the least we accept

As a friend of the family and knowing Aaron as i do and knowing he is not in the loop as when he was sold to Bournemouth,( knew nothing of the deal,when he was sold On chris wilders wedding day).The lad reads and nows whats being said.
His focus is on being the best he can the rest is irrelevant.
