Summary of that bollocks

Never even looked like scoring for the full match

Berge made a few good runs

Osborn woeful, Norwood terrible as usual

Build up play way too slow and negative

No bite and no quality in the forward third

So frustrating to watch
And completely and utterly fkin useless at defending crosses - as we have been for over a year.

This was very concerning, but add Davies AND a near 6 foot full back in Norrington Davies and it should improve dramatically

That looked exactly like the system that got us relegation. Why can we not put first time crosses in.... we go backwards, take 3 passes instead of 1. Great when we have an end result, does your head in when it doesn't... aaarrfgggghhhh.
Early days so let's give slav time. UTB

All athletic with the ability to run past players AND have an end product.

it’s not rocket science.

It's one game so no need to get carried away. However, what is abundantly clear is that Robinson, Osborne, Fleck and probably Norwood need replacing. They try, but not up to the standard required.

there is a new system ? 😁
I am not sure I would call it a system. Most of the time I was watching individuals all on a different page from each other.
The tactic of Norwood dropping in the CB to ping balls forward seems a waste as I leaves 2 in Midfield with McGoldrick popping up in different positions but we didn't gain anything from it. No point in having all that possession just to play it around at the back and midfield kept kicking it back. Berge woke up in second half but each time had a lot to do without many options. Osborn not good enough at left back. Overall very disjointed and lacking energy.

just seen the highlights and the goal is just down to Osborn. Crosses like that are going to happen, defenders have to handle them and he was out of position and outjumped. Appaling stuff

Other than dead balls tell me what Norwood did wrong nothing last night he did what he was asked to do
There were bigger flaws Osborne and Robinson not good enough Robinson is a fucking liability
Everything they did was down our left and they both looked out of their depth
Fleck was shite
You can put the best strikers in the world on and they’d struggle with that supply

You missed Fleck off the list. He's shadow of his former self. Not sure we can wait much longer to find out what's wrong with him, but he's hiding, that's for sure.

Lofted balls into channels, ask fast forwards to run.

That was the only semblance of a game plan.

Which is all down to our woeful midfield. Fleck and Norwood haven’t been up to the required standard for a season and a half. Do we seriously think that’s going to change?

It would improve with those, but not dramatically until we are more positive going forward and with more quality.
Add in a creative midfielder and we might start looking good.

Drop Fleck and bring in Freeman, someone who isn’t afraid to run with the ball and whip it in. Not sure how he’s not starting anyway considering Fleck currently offers nothing.

I’d sack off Norwood too, have Berge in the middle and Bogle / Bash on the right. Baldock isn’t afraid to run the channel but can also defend, giving Bogle a bit more freedom to attack.

It’s one game so not getting carried away, but our left side was poor last night, it needs new ideas and fresh legs. Stevens coming back isn’t the answer.

I meant regarding defending crosses

You have to ask why was Osborn on his own in the midle of the pen
because Robinson had moved to the right because Egan was practically on the right touchline and the midfielder [McGoldrick? ] should have dropped deeper, it was more about oganisation than personal error!

Pleased that I am not the only one who thinks McG was to blame. The scorer went past him and McG never moved at all leaving a short defender to deal with an incoming perfectly timed run.
