He’s right but maybe he should concentrate on playing 5 yard passes rather than acting as a director of football

If we the fans can say it, when we have no idea the actual requirements then I think a professional footballer that has trained in these facilities can have a say as well. No matter how out of form he was last season, he is still much more qualified to say this stuff than anyone on this forum is.

I’m not saying he’s not right he is correct

You don’t go out in the press and dig out your owners/boss

Wilder did that and look how that ended it got us relegated

Why is he saying this to the press? What has Wilder done to these cunts to make them want to rat the club out? It's an internal matter. Kick Wilder out of the WhatsApp group and get rid of this ineffective snake.

Also, the training ground is hardly a hill to die on for Wilder and the players. It hasn't helped that Wilder was implying it was some sort of dealbreaker when he left the club (ignoring the fact that we were and still are in a pandemic).

Let's not forget everyone got a tidy bonus and a new contract when we got promoted and stayed up. I doubt any of them (apart from maybe Wilder) would turn down a lower financial bonus if it meant a few extra bob was there to upgrade the training ground etc.

Maybe if they’d played better last season we could have these facilities. They didn’t and we got relegated in the middle of a pandemic. A bloke who is very out of touch in my eyes

What if they struggled last season because of the training ground?

Look at the recovery and treatment facilities most other top end clubs have.

Fucking miles mile miles behind.

Yes, the exact same ones. Just because we survived/succeeded the first season doesn't mean the facilities were fit for purpose. We were clearly declining in the second half of the season thanks to a strong start.
We declined because of lack of momentum don’t start blaming the facilities as and when it suits your opinion.
If he cares that much he should’ve said this after we finished 9th not after relegation, we aren’t about to plough on with this after relegation are we?

I'm not blaming the facilities for relegation, I don't think Norwood is either.

It was Wilders opinion, and it's clearly the players opinion that they need upgrading.

Have you watched the inside shirecliffe videos?
But these lads are paid big money, they should be happy to put on the United badge on a cratered wasteland full of dog turds amarite.

He's 100% correct. Well done for having the balls to say it 👏
Agree completely. Who knows how long he and the players have been biting their tongue about this. The facilities are shambolic. He’s nothing to lose/gain by saying it, it’s just honest talk. He knows he’s probably never gonna play in the PL again.

That said, anyone wanting rid of Norwood going in to a championship season wants checking for lumps.

I agree and strongly doubt Norwood has offended anyone within the club by stating the obvious. Prince Abdullah and Bettis themselves have also gone public with their desire to get the facilities upto standard.

He might be absolutely bang on but why involve the media? Keep it in house and keep telling the ones who need to know.

Nothing to gain by publicly bitching when you've embarrassed yourself for the past year, ask the bloke who can't get a job because of it.

Just had a listen, he just answered the question honestly, the training ground works caused at least some unrest within the club and so yeah, that's a hangover from the troubled time last season that needs sorting.

Maybe he went on a bit too long and it starting to sound a bit too moany, but he's right to bring it up and hopefully it gives someone a kick up the arse.

You have to assume that whatever our facilities are like, and whatever the plans to improve them might be, they're good enough for Jokanovic to take the job.

If Norwood says everything's great then he'll get called a liar, if he tells the truth people ask why he's criticising the club. Can't win in that sense. It's not like he's come out slating it though. Fairly tame comments.

Imo, if he'd buttered us up and said something like "the club deserve it, we want to be a Premier League team and all that comes with it, we've got a great stadium but the training ground needs sorting for us to flourish at that level" he'd be being applauded, but because he said the players deserve it it comes off as a bit entitled, even though it's 100% true.

Probably, but that's the problem and why we never get any honesty from players and managers. People say they want a frank interview but then if one of them gets the phrasing a little bit wrong people are all over them.

Probably just lining himself up to get the construction management gig when the board do press the button on it. Very good at pointing I've heard.

Basically football supporters are the biggest sensitive snowflakes going.

Expressing concern for something pretty well known amongst everyone involved at the club results in getting slagged off by a section of the fans. Course.

An owner able to rectify this yet may actually be ignoring the issue entirely, but some corners of the crowd jump at the chance to defend him no matter what? Think we’ve seen relatively similar things across the city over the last couple of years. I for one find it concerning that this issue is still rumbling on with complete ignorance from the top.
