I doubt Wilder will get a job in the Premier League. He wants total control and very few clubs work that way today. He is far from proven at the top level, he had a very good half a season but performances were dropping off then lockdown happened and we came back rather shit.
This season we have been utter shit from the first game and Wilder couldn't or didn't know how to change it. Then there was the constant moaning and slagging off the owner, boardroom and the players in fact anyone but himself was to blame, who is going to stand for more of that?
I think he will turn up in the Championship or possibly Scotland.

Unfortunately, he is so one dimensional there would be a strong possibility this could happen.
Fortunately, he won't get a job in the Premier league and little chance in the Championship.
Division 1 in the next twelve months, maybe, that is if he is bothered, other irons in the fire.

Couldnt agree less...it would be a good move in they are a Premiership team and the salary.

However this would be like following Ferguson at Man U. Dyche has massively over achieved at Burnley and at some point they will return to their rightful position of lower championship/higher division one team like Blackburn, Huddersfield, Stoke, Hull et al.

Maybe Dyche had a relationship with previous owners that he doesn't have with ALK Capital and thinks he's better off moving before the ship sinks because if Burnley drop, they could be gone for good

He will be employed to do a job by another club. If that involves getting players from us then that is acceptable as long as the price is right. If he doesn’t buy them then others will if they want to leave.

If you think you can get anywhere in football without being a bit of a ruthless cunt you are living in a fantasy world. Wilder wouldn't think twice about buying an SUFC player for another team and nor should he.

Todays 'news' in The Sun is Wilder in contention for the Burnley job should Dyche depart for Palace - now we know The Sun isnt always the font of knowledge, but I could see some truth in it.

2 questions that would pose in my opinion

1 - Is this a gamble by them? are they getting CW 19/20, or CW 20/21? I can see the synergy between the clubs, working class, lower budget, mainly UK players, but if I was the Chairman of Burnley, would the posturing of CW in his last months concern me? Personally I think he will get a crack at it.
2 - more importantly to us, will this start a chain of transfers? Dyche takes Tarkovski to Palace, or he goes to Everton when Dyche leaves, CW then looks at Egan or JoC as a known replacement. Pope has a good Euro, goes to a bigger club, does CW come in for Ramsdale? Would Burnley offer Berge a double your money offer to stay in the Prem?
How many other CW disciples could we/would we be bothered loosing

2 months ago if you said someone came if for Rammers I'd have drove him there myself, but he seems to have found his game now, and I reckon a season in the Champ will do him good, and he will be a solid No1.

Depends on how much he paid, if he comes in for the entire squad, then he could rebrand "Burnley" to "Sheffield United"

If he’s parted with the £60M to get them, no I honestly wouldn’t. JoC I think is quality but he’s had a nasty injury and only has 2 years on his deal. Egan is awesome at Championship level but I have questions around if he’s truly Premier league class. He suits the role we’ve made for him but someone able to do more on the ball would bring a lot more to it again at Premier league level. I’m also no sure about him in a 2.
For that £60M we could cover this season and strengthen significantly. Yes it leave a huge hole in our exceptional Championship back line, but it’s a serious chunk of change to revitalise it with potentially better technical replacements.
If we sold for significantly lower then that’s on the board not Wilder, and it would be a shit deal.

Palace will always be able to attract better players than Burnley, simply because of where it is. But on the face of it,...........very much a sideways move

Because he’s at Burnley. There aren’t many PL clubs that would take Dyche because of his style of football and people’s perception of him. Burnley have changed owners and he had a moan about not being able to bring players in at the end of last season (or the beginning of this season, I’ve lost track of time) so I think he’s looking at his options. Palace are a reasonable mid table club with a few half decent players like Cahill, Eze, Townsend and, if they don’t sell him, Zaha.

I think he’s quite similar to Hodgson, teams are difficult to beat and well organised. I think most Palace players would take to him, he won’t ask them to do things they can’t do. He gets a lot out of his forwards at Burnley and Palace’s forwards are an upgrade. I could see him being quite successful there. There would be a level of continuity after Pardew, Fat Sam, Pulis, Hodgson
