Most of them goals in the Championship. Mitrovic only has 14 goals in 66 appearances in the Premier League, which is actually a lower strike rate than McGoldrick and Sharp this season.

Still, those stats certainly do suggest he'd be an asset up front in the second tier.

The actual fuck it means that somewhere around that time we were relying on the mercurial but inconsistent talents of Connor Washington (15 appearances - 0 goals), Gary Madine (16 appearances - 3 goals, Scott Hogan (8 appearances 2 goals) and Ben Woodburn (7 appearances, 0 goals) to prop up our front line.

I take it the fact that since we've been promoted our top scorers haven't reached double figures is simply some 'fucking weird reason', as stated, huh? You don't reckon a couple of seasons with someone like Mitrovic (51 goals for Fulham since 2018) might have just made a small smidge of difference, or am I just making the most of an opportunity again?

Silly me. Onwards and upwards with Mousset, McBurnie, Burke and Brewster (not even fifteen goals between all four of them in the last two seasons at a price of about sixty million)

We did have a pot to piss in. We just had a completely unambitious megalomaniac idiot running the club, more interested in conveyor-belting managers in and out of the door and flogging players from under them to prevent any old feeling of being above ourselves and achieving some or other promotional gains. Of course, each managerial fuck up cost him cash anyway, and his epic shithousery eventually unseated him, than fuck.

Just think what we may have gained from a striker who can hit the target and score against the four aforementioned suitcases we currently have? Last season we scored 45 goals across three competitions and this season less than half that.

It's not me in a hole.
