Billy big bollox.
Some good players though, starting to look like a team.

Wilder needs to pin these comments up on the dressing room wall!!!

any guesses as to how many times that obnoxious twat Grealish will get blown over by the gentlest gust of wind?

Just shows what can be achieved with proper investment and strong coaching. Credit to Smith, during lockdown he studied other teams like Napoli, City, and changed their approach and boy did it work. As Carragher said last night without lockdown they were probably down. Wasn't it after beating them in Sheffield last season that there was a debate about whether we should sign Grealish!? That seems like parody now.

Depressingly, I find it hard to argue with most of those comments.

We are so far out of our depth this season, it’s embarrassing.

Thanks Roy

Now this team should have gone down last season had it not been for the ghost goal. If they had of gone down their manager who is Shite by the way wouldn’t have been able to watch who we were looking at buying because he himself doesn’t have a clue then matching the transfer fee then offering them loads more money in wages. Oh boy how I would love to beat this lot... cheats like the shammers.
One of their comments said they hate us so I say to him....your right we do remember in The championship when Weeds carried on and scored their manager was running up and down demanding the injustice be overturned and the weeds manager obliged by instructing weeds to level it up NOW then move on in time last season Villa Park the ghost goal deffo over the line the refs watch was not working it was turned off (unbelievable)and VAR said it didn’t check unbelievable again. Their manager had the opportunity to deliver justice did he not? Did he allow us to level it up NOPE kept his big fat gob shut apart to say some rambling nonsense when asked about it.. So that’s why we hate Villa that’s why and what goes around comes around

Thanks Roy

I disagree, Smith has done an excellent job. He learned from his mistakes and during lockdown re-calibrated their approach and tactics. Compare their performances post lockdown to ours and look where the respective clubs are now. We'll be in the backwaters for another ten years whereas Villa will be in the PL and an established force again. Europe is within their sights and good luck to them. Wish we were as good and as well financed and well managed as them.

No game could ever better illustrate just what the two words "Covid Impact" could really mean (in football terms) more than this one.
We were flying, they were absolutely dead in the water and on the verge of a financial meltdown, given what they had spent. A few months away and a despicable 'Goal line Technology' incident, and here we are.
It just goes to prove that 'you never really know what's around the corner', doesn't it?
You could say they have recruited well, got an effective system, got a manager that understands the club, its fans, and their needs, but no club (to my knowledge) has ever got so lucky from a position that they were in 12 months ago.
I'm sure, not one of their fans will acknowledge it, though.

Come on CW, show these comments to your team and let us see them play with some pride and destroy this pompous mob

Hi Stegosaurus here

Reckon this one will be humiliating. 3-0. Grealish tears us apart.

Wilder needs to pin these comments up on the dressing room wall!!!

Not all of the comments are arrogant, not as bad as the West Brom forum when we were playing them away in the promotion season, for instance.

Grealish will most likely not play. I don’t get the negativity towards him, apart from the fact that he’s not our player. I wonder how many of us posting negative stuff will be cheering him on at the Euros?

Hi from a Villa fan that drops into this blog on occasion. I really don't understand this concept of 'hate' between football fans. A hatred for people you don't know. A fairly sad way for society to be. Is the joy of football not gained from having rivalry and enjoying banter with mates that support other teams?

“These lot hate us by the way...“

Corrrrrrrectamundo, Villa are the arsehole of football, situated in the arsehole of England. Fuck them and everybody involved with them.
Absolute chocolate starfish of a club with the biggest set of cunts supporting them in the world led by chief cheerleader gabby agmonglahor

Hope your ground gets swallowed up by a sinkhole you shitbags

As regards the game I do expect Villa to win. This is not arrogance this is just based on what is happening this season. Just reading comments from Blades fans on this board and it suggests that Blades have virtually no defence due to injuries, the midfield is weak and looses the ball and your strikers are not good enough. Villa has a very strong defence, a fairly solid midfield and a very quick and attacking strike force. On that basis, it looks like 3 points to Villa.
However, we have weaknesses. We are inconsistent. Every time we look like going on a run we drop points. Grealish has been out injured for the last 2 games and will probably not play. Cash is out injured and we have a 34 year old replacing him. In front of Cash we have Traore who is wonderfully creative but doesn't track back enough or protect his full back. Yes, there is an opportunity for Blades to win if u put in a performance like against Utd or Liverpool but I think the likelihood is a win for Villa.
Anyway, good luck with the game. I hope it is a good game with lots of goals and no VAR or Ref discussion points to dominate post-match discussion.

Thanks, I hope you guys get a bit of good fortune as this year has been crap, it would be nice if CW can turn things around and bring you straight back up next season so he can obliterate this season from his legacy and quite right go down as one of the best ever managers of Sheffield United

What's rivalry if not injected with hatred? It is the elixir of life, the tonic of the soul.

I'll leave 'banter' to the Soccer AM types who think football was invented in 1992.

It is very clear from the management at Villa and from the Head Coach (Dean Smith), he is not the manager that Smith does not select the players we purchase. This is the job of the Dir of Football. Smith can recommend them but Lange has total responsibility for transfers. When a prospective player is identified then Smith can say 'No' and block his transfer but he can only agree to the transfer of players if Lange has already approved it.

I'll leave 'hatred' to the Soccer fans that do not realise that football is a game, yes we are all passionate about our team and we all want our team to win but after 90 mins and regardless of a win, draw or loss we are all just people with a love for football.

I could not agree more.
Hating someone is bad enough, but can be understandable in some circumstances, but hating people you don’t know or have never met is weird and says more about some on this forum than it does about Grealish for example

I have to agree we did look fcuked last season and then Covid stopped football. The time off looks to have really helped Villa as we came back with a much stronger defensive setup and were that little bit harder to beat. We still needed a lot to go in our favour, nothing more so than Bournemouth imploding and finishing so poorly. They should have scored more points in the last 10 games than they did and that would have relegated Villa before giving us a chance on the last day to pick up a point a scrape another year in the PL

Aston Villa manager Dean Smith has confirmed in his pre match press conference that both Jack Grealish and Matty Cash remain unavailable for Villa’s trip to Sheffield United tomorrow.
101 Great Goals

Nah, mini-golf is just a game.

This is a lifetime investment of passion, money, blood, sweat and tears my friend. The conduit through which bonds are formed, dreams are built and hopes are dashed.
I would have it no other way.

All clubs have fans like that. Some of the things I see Villa fans write about Blues and Baggies fans is disgusting. But when we are in the same division those are the games that Villa fans look forward to most. No better joy than getting one over the neighbour. Take your noisy neighbours. I have seen many Blades fans saying they hope they get relegated this season. This is understandable. However, and assuming Championship football next season, what games would Blades fans look forward to most. I suspect that Wednesday home and away would be quite close to the top of the list
