Wilder's Reaction

This focus on stats and big moments is beginning to do my head in a little bit. In a geese way. Who cares, we're not winning or picking points up.

Maybe try being brave? Take a risk or 3? We literally have nothing to lose but another game after game.

Said it before, but you cannot pick players like Robinson, Stevens and Osborn and then complain about a lack of quality.

Wilder has a system. I’m fine with that. He used to pick players that fitted that system (the most important being attacking centre backs). If you insist on playing decidedly mediocre players - who don’t even fit the system - you will get a lack of quality.

Yet another mollycoddled, limp wrist interview. No mention of the shower of shit records we’re breaking. Other managers going through tough periods 1/10 the size of this clusterfuck have had to answer some seriously hard questions. Every interview has this infuriating tone of “awww poor you” as if the balls deep sack of shit we’re in right now isn’t precisely of our own making.

I sincerely hope that he is targeting about 3 new players for this window. Robinson, Ampadu, and Osborn (unless it's left wing back) should be no where near our first team again.

I actually hope that they send Ampadu back early this window. Coward of a footballer.

Despite still being conservative for us on the spending if you put it into relatives against the rest of the PL and not paying the big bucks for better players we have over extended ourselves in expectations.

Only naming 7 subs when you can have 9 sums it up.

Chris always said we would go out of the front door, those close to him need to tell him we haven't done that for some time. I'm sorry but if he was to sing a fine young cannibals song it would be "I'm not the man I used to be". Dignity is very important.

The system isn't a sustainable one how many good rcb and lcb that can also take players on and bust a gut overlapping and running back are there really? Should be buying to move to a back 4 tbh instead of relying on a gimmick
oh please dont ive been pleading for us to go to a back 4 on here for 2 months now baldocks a good defender but garbage at wing back and we dont do overlapping centre backs anymore i want chris to stay as manager even in the championship but hes driving me mad persisting with these tactics that havent worked for 4 months now

Will walk after the Palace loss. You heard it here first.

I think you may well be right. He looked a broken man tonight late on when it was clear we weren't going to score. Personally I hope he stays but it's looking increasingly unlikely.

A man on the edge. Reminds me of Weir. Waffling the same rubbish week after week.

These are your players and your tactics Chris.

Look yourself in the mirror Chris. Are you that same manager from last season? If so then fucking start acting like it or quit and let someone else try and salvage something.

What do people expect or want from Wilder?! He can't come out and slag the team off or he really would lose the dressing room. I thought all things considered it was a decent interview. If he'd come out like Mike Bassett most would be saying he's lost it, time for him to go. Without Wilder we'd be mid table Championship at best, and if we go back there (and of course we all know where we started under Wilder) than at least we've had some of the best football I've ever known at the Lane during the last three years and I think we need to cut the guy some slack.

Key players last season aren't even in the team this season regularly because quite frankly their performances don't warrant it. We're just not good enough right now, but blaming Wilder is very harsh in my view. You might say well who else to blame but he's got 100% out of this team since he's arrived until now and the league is just so unforgiving and we can't get the momuntum going. In many ways we're not far off, given we lose so many games 1 - 0, but the quality that players like Fleck showed last season is largely missing.

Not a lot of choice left to go for in those positions !
