Only thing saving Wilder might be the lack of suitable managers. Eddie Howe clearly holding out for a southern team (Palace, Brighton etc) or England job. Don’t know who would be prepared to take over obvious relegation fodder and have that on their record

I dont think Gerrard would leave to join us whether in prem or champ.
 
I have not called for Wilder's head so far, but it seems interesting that we are basically saying that defeat every week is acceptable.
It's narrow defeats on the whole, but what if we are in March with 4-8 points, do we keep on with the same results?

I don't have any answers, and of course confidence is a massive issue in football (and life). But I don't buy the we need some more luck argument either,
we are simply not good enough. We don't have a good enough squad to compete in this division. We could try and gamble in January, but i'm not sure what difference it will make.

For us to stay up now, 2 things need to happen:

1. We need to start winning lot of games in succession.
2: Other teams around us need to get basically no points.

Neither of those seem likely.
It's not over til it's over but we have managed to fall further behind today now as Fulham drew with Southampton.

Dear oh dear, what a season this is going to be..........

Well he has got us in such a shit position I am not sure any manager can get us out of it.

All a new manager can do is get enough points to not make it a total fucking embarrassment.

Which is why we need to plan now for the long term. You’re right, replacing him with someone like you’ve described is pointless.
 
Again persisting with overloading the wings and no target to cross to. Even when we are allowed to its only in the knowledge that our target is outnumbered and so an easy opportunity to turnover possession for the opposition. If a fuckwit fan like me can see that repeating every game, then the worlds top coaches who work in the PL know this to. Its insane to persist with such tactics, over and over again.

The secret to a successful career however is to recognise when to stay put or get out, the step before that happens. I think, unfortunately, the Premier League is proving a bridge too far for our management team.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again - why wait until we go behind before changing to a four at the back?

I love Chris and think he’s done an unbelievable job, but as others have said, the recruitment, substitutions and inability/stubbornness to change this system is killing us.

A win tonight would’ve given us a huge chance, but we’re down now.

This season is very much like watching a Warnock team in the Prem. in fact, it’s a lot worse.

Bought players to 'back up' our squad and compete for the first team, who obviously have never been good enough to compete in the Premiership. Has he actually recruited to perform worse!!
 
The manager has his faults, same as most of us do, but he and his team are genuinely top people that just want the best for the club. Look above the manager as always for the problems at this football club.

I was one of the extreme minority that wanted McCabe to win the court case so he could sell us to someone with proper PL funds.

No disrespect to the Prince who has tried, but he simply hasn't got enough.
 
Van Winkle would be ideal for continuity purposes, I bet he’s fell asleep as much as me watching this shower of shit the past six months.
 



No point in sacking Wilder. Those early games where we could have, but didn't get any points such as Villa, Leeds and only getting the draw v Fulham are costing us now, because then the rot set in and quite frankly we're just not good enough, but injuries didn't help. What's really scary is that we're not even halfway through the season. This really is the most depressing season I can remember as a Blade, although that's up for debate.
